NEMOC Random BS Thread

Pray they ship within a decent amount of time.

I loved the Hawk HPS I had on my P5 for a bit of time.

Looked at the car tonight--it's the right wheel bearing, not the left one that's been replaced (twice). I detected some up/down play in the wheel on the right, seems tight on the left. I am also getting a noise turning the wheel. I hope it's the wheel bearing and not something else (CV joint). All signs point to bearing so far though. It's not a turning-only sound (like a CV joint clicking, not that I've heard that in person ever).

getting aftermarket brake pads for the front prob. off of protege garage any recommendations?
I am liking my StopTech Street Performance Pads. I also like the Axxis Ultimates, and on my RX-8, I liked them better than Hawk HPS. The Hawks had less initial bite than stock RX-8 pads and the Ultimates were about the same or slightly higher.

so far ive been liking my hawk pads. i never push the car in any way so i cant say if they are amazing or not but they always stop me with not to much brake dust

I have Hawks on my RX8 and I'll definitely agree to the lesser initial bite. It's definitely a noticeable difference when they're cold. Once they warm up, though, they're fantastic so overall I think they're great pads.

Morning NEPOCers!! Car is going in the shop in a couple hours.....Cant wait to see what kind of rental I get to beat around in....should be an impala or the likes of....

Morning all. Was pleasantly warmer this morning. :)

How is that Forte Bruce? I like the lines on the Koup...just curious on how it drove/handled.

The Koup is actually an attractive vehicle with some nice tech goodies.

The only thing I didn't like was the interior. The entire rear of the car is made out of awful black plastic. By the time that car hits 60k miles, it will rattle worse than a maraca.

That seems too cheap, especially with all the work to color match on VR. It cost me $1,800 just to have a scratch taken out of my passenger rear door from a shopping cart.
I thought so too...since it cost over $3k to do the rear of my car when i was rear-ended 4 years ago. If they go over budget the insurance company will handle it. I just hope I get it back by Christmas. I don't want to be travelling long distances in this truck. I hate parking it for one thing.

I sat in one last year at the auto show and really liked it (interior and exterior). However the Koup was a bit pricey compared to the sedan.

Speaking of which, Amanda and I might be going to the New England Auto show Wednesday (tomorrow) night after work. If anyone wants to meet us there send me a PM or something and we'll exchange numbers.

Not too bad. I have the sedan, throttle tip in is bad. It's an Auto with a manual mode. Loaded though, USB, AUX In, Sat. Seems to ride on the sporty side. Love the Sat.

I ended up with the Kia Optima, nice car, all the features Bruce just mentioned. Rides nice, coming from a stop in normal drive is a little hesitant, but then she goes pretty good, manual mode is always fun to mess around with.
