NEMOC Random BS Thread

Hot and tiring. I mean... Lime Rock was hot, but at Lime Rock, we're at least smart enough to bring 40000 bottles of water. At Mid-Ohio... we're never prepared. We never have what we need. I got dehydrated and it was bad times for me off and on. But... it always leads to people getting funny pics of me...

I like those wheels a lot Will!!! What kind of transmission fluid did you put in? I still need to get mine changed out.. I did the rear diff but they didn't have the right transmission fluid.

Amsoil 75w-90 gear oil for the diff and 75w-90 GL-4 oil for the trans, it's what I used when I changed the oils in the 6, with good results, hoping for the same this time around.
As for the wheels, unfortunately they have some pretty bad rash on them, thikning about getting them powdercoated come winter.

Everyone else is talking about their weekend, mine was spent (still) working on the brake job from hell.

UPS messed up and the rotors never got here. I had to go to three different shops to get an impact driver and I don't have much faith in the one that I did get. 3 of the 4 retaining screws were so stuck that I had to drill them out. (well I only managed to drill 2 out before the battery died). The caliper tool got wedged into one of the rear calipers so strongly that I actually had to have my brother pull on a wrench while I pulled in the opposite direction. I stripped the bolt that I had used to get the rear two rotors off and ended up using a torch and hammer to get the front off.

2 weeks later and right now I only have three of the rotors off which doesn't really matter because the new rotors spent the weekend in Chelmsford anyways.
