NEMOC Random BS Thread

Our furnace shut off for the 3rd time this week. I suspected it was the thermocouple, a sensor that monitors the pilot light. It was only shutting off at night when we allowed the temp to drop to 64 in the house.

I pulled out the thermocouple and tested it with a multimeter. It only produced 14mv when I held a lighter to the tip. It is supposed to produce 30mv. Ace Hardware across the street had a replacement one for $8.00. It took all of 15 minutes to repair. I hope this solves the problem!!!

it looked good from far away, but the heat from the motor was starting to discolor the wire loom, and melt the electrical tape and by the end of the summer it was really not looking to sexy, the new look is way cleaner and wont be a big PITA to fix or clean at shows. it'll look even better in a few months, lots of powdercoating to come.

looking good gary. gunna have to do an extensive cleanup of mine before the occ meet. the winter really put a hurtin on the engine bay. as did the leaky oil catch can that apartly was leaking for quite some time...............insert swear word here.

yeah ill get back to you on that new one you want later today, gotta make a phone call.

i want some opinions on this..what color should the intake manifold be powdercoated?

Thats a tricky one... Black would look like engine bay is a black hole ... Blue would be too much blue... silver would look out of place...

with that said... my vote is Black

I see you took some of my advice Ash. Looking good. Just a note again about the fonts, I would stick to web safe. Here's what they look like on my PC. No hard compression in the photo.

I'm using the CSS3 @font thing.

It's all the same font, looks slightly different in light, I may just set the weight down a tad.

he's obviously using either chrome, firefox or safari, but the colors are way off...it's not rendering the opacity correctly.
