NEMOC Random BS Thread

thanks Josh! I am getting my new lap top on friday and wanted something decent for photo software so I can start taking full advantage of my camera.

Sorry to hear Jenn. :( Just know we all love you here. (wiggle)

Working on a t-shirt design for a friend. It's all vector based.

Morning everyone. Day #8 of my 12-day work week! I'm hanging in there, overslept a little today but wasn't too late to work. That's what I get for working saturday/sunday and staying out until 3am at the bar in between.

At a veterans' affairs hospital today. I have to say, after being to 4 of these hospitals this past year (3 in CT, one in Mass.), they are absolutely the most miserable places. They remind me of the place Jack Nicholson (forgot his character's name) was in in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (I love that movie btw)..just without the padded walls and straight-jackets. They're just...old..and run down and I'd assume (based on the conditions of the buildings) that they don't get any funding past "absolutely necessary".

Anyways....GO USA HOCKEY!

And apparently a fan was killed over the weekend in Arizona at a drag racing event when a car flipped on the track and sent a tire flying into the stands. (Read it on CNN.com) RIP

Awesome vid Chris!

I am looking into getting photoshop any suggestions on which one? Was looking at best buy and saw a combo Photoshop elements 8/premier elements 8 for 150. Should I get this or is there some other Photo editing program I should look into? Is paint shop pro x2 any good? Remember im a noob at this stuff.

Download and play around with GIMP. It's an opensource image editor. It isn't nearly as powerful as Photoshop but you might as well try what is free before dropping money on new software.

Ooooh.... I didn't even know you were off the market.. That sucks Jen :(

Would a puppy cheer you up? He and I are running errands around the state today :)

It's okay.... It wasn't advertised and honestly it wasn't for long. A puppy would definitely cheer me up! Haha.

Morning everybody.

Sorry to hear Jenn. They say that things happen for a reason so you never know what is going to be around that next corner.

Morning All!

Jenn thing of all the money you will have to spend on the car and the condo now instead :)

4runner looks good luke.. I dig the color.

As far as the TV goes, I'd probably go for a regular LCD for now. You'll be able to score one of those (especially on amazon or buy.com) a heck of a lot cheaper. If the sun is an issue, blinds help! (blinds + LCD < LED)

Thanks Sean.

Well I was all set to pull the trigger on the LED LCD TV this weekend. Went in to look at it with my dad. They had the straight LCD one next to it. There was a slight difference in picture, but not a whole lot. I noticed a sign that the LCD was the last one (display model). So after a little haggling I bought the LCD (not LED) for $700 with a three year warranty. TV was originally $950 and the LED was $1300. I couldn't see spending twice as much on the LED. On amazon today buying blinds for the living room and a mount :)
