Chris:
I'm rather mechanically inclined and I have the proper tools to do a brake swap. (I picked up a C-Clamp via the job, so we are good.) Just let me know if you want to do it with Bruce or me or both. I'm more than willing to lend a hand if needed.

chris did u get my pm
Yeah... I actually did it a month ago, but I've been out of town for almost all of the month, so I never got a chance to get the damn thing fixed. Plus I was too embarrassed to say anything about it.
I'd love to have your help too, but my rear brakes are starting to squeal and I've got stuff going on the following weekend. I've done brakes before, just not on this car. The P5 was pretty straight forward once you learned about the secret screw to release the rear pistons. I imagine that unless we have trouble getting those rotor screws out this should be a pretty straight forward job.Chris:

In this thread, the writer mentions turning the caliper piston to depress it. I think that is only for the rears while the front can be done with a c-clamp. Do you have a c-clamp bruce?
Apparently the worst part is that the rotors are fastened to the hubs with some rusty screws that may have to be drilled out. At the very least, an impact wrench with a phillips attachment will be needed.
The instructions talk about removing the calipers. I don't think we have to do that completely if we aren't replacing brake lines. In fact, I thought I heard someone say we only have to remove one bolt for the fronts and the rotor can be removed...we'll see about that though.

Bruce, I checked with the wife and I'm game for Saturday. What time should I stop by?
