Wow! $2100 and he's saying you rolled into him? Yea...ok.

So I stopped in front of my local store to grab a drink. It's a very safe area and I always leave my car running right in front were I see it when it's this damn cold out. This older guy follows me in about 20 seconds later as I'm at the register and looks at me and says, "That's a really nice car. Is it new?" I say, "No, it's a 2004." His face had the look of shock. He then said, "Well it's really clean". I say thanks. He just made my day.

its ok . my adjuster said the same thing. she said i have a beautiful car.

Nice Josh! Reminds me of the day I bought my P5. We took our daughter to dance and while in the parking lot one of the other mothers we know walked up and complimented on how nice the car looked. I said 'Thanks, it has 64k'. She misheard and said 'Well if you can afford it that's nice'. I laughed and said 'no miles, this is an 02'. Her mouth hit the asphalt.

I remember i got pulled over once and the cop actually ran my VIN to my reg because he thought i had forged the reg and thought my car was newer than an 04... was kinda comical...

Heh, if you knew the area I'm speaking of you would have no worries. Plus with my dark tinted windows you can't see if anyone is in the car. Hehe.

So I signed off on trading the MS6 for a 4Runner today. I'm sad to say good buy but I just can't do a car anymore.

so just got of the phone with my claim rep. the damage totals about 2100, but the best part is that the guy who hit me, is now saying i rolled back into him (argh).

I'd try to go for an S10 or a Ranger at that year......

Super edit: The one you listed is a 4 door with short bed. Are you planning on having more than just you at the job site? If not, I'd look into a smaller pickup. Hence why I suggested a Ranger or S10. They are cheaper and lots of parts available.

I'm going quad-cab because my vehicle is literally my mobile office. I take tons of paperwork, heavy equipment, clothing (gotta be prepared for the weather), a laptop and expensive equipment (stuff I, and especially my bosses, wouldn't want to keep in the bed) with me every job site I go to. The extra cab space in the back is going to be clutch. Plus if I do need to bring other people with me, it'll just be that much easier.

A couple of guys I work with have 2 seaters (a ranger, etc) and they've told me they wish they got a bigger cab or just went with an SUV.

lol, I should snap a pic of my 8 stuffed door-to-door with work crap...you'd all cry.

so yeah, I definitely considered a smaller pickup...but I need cab space in addition to a bed.
