NEMOC Random BS Thread

Yea me and the wife are going. It's in litchfield, nh now. They combined with Nightmare New England. Heard it's really good thid year!

What you normally see with HID that might be distracting at first is the cut off line due to the brightness of the light. Hence those who do not have the proper setup tend to blind people.

Proper setup = adjusting headlight lower? Guessing it would be the same for the NC as it is for the P5.

Morning All.(sick)

Feeling worse today, going to work from home.

Thanks Mark and Josh for the info.

Get better Bruce! Hot tea!

Well you primarily need projectors. That will help, but its not always correct either. What is really annoying is these big F350 trucks or something which have reflector headlight housings and it just spreads the light like crazy! Arrgh! Especially troublesome on nights like last night when its misty/rainy etc and you can't see s*** to begin with!

QFT....I hate when those trucks get behind me.

mornin ya'll(headbang)
felling better today, still can't talk to well...some people like that..;)..feel better B

Good to hear Mark!

Good Morning!!!

Glad to hear you feeling better Mark.

Bruce hope you get rid of that soon.

Thinking about HIDs also. There is a thread on the 2010 msp3 forum
that am following waiting for some of the results.

My mount insert is coming tomorrow. Will install on Saturday.

Any input on the TRZ Dog bone rear motor mount?

I would say that the TRZ is the most popular mount, next would be the CP-E but theres always a waiting list on it.

Zimmer has it on his, the poly not delrin. Poly is street, delrin is basically track only unless you don't care about rattling your teeth out.

I had the Medieval version which was a bit softer than even the poly TRZ mount. Though the car definitely feels better shifting and driving, the vibrations get old. Especially in the cold weather when the plastics in the car vibrate even more. I put pieces of egg crate type packaging foam underneath panels to get them to stop vibrating but after a while I decided I just wanted the comfort again. Most people don't care about it and get used to it. I was just sick of how rough the car was, most of it was the front suspension being fubar'd.

The vibrations are what is holding me back from installing a motor mount on my MS6...but I sure would love to get rid of some of that backlash when I let the clutch out.

I ended up filling my stock mount with epoxy since it wasn't ripped. It absorbs the idling vibrations but doesnt move as much as the stock one. Yah it moves a little more than real mounts but its a compromise I like at the moment.

Mine has the motor mount in it. Did you notice any difference during the meet?

I had the TRZ mount in my 3. I took it out. WAY too much rattle/vibration. Does it help? Hell yeah. I just couldn't handle all the vibes it gave off into the cabin. Ridiculous!

I am actually thinking of switching over to the cp-e mount.

Maybe a little...but its hard to say because i wasn't used to the higher clutch release point...and I was paying more attention to the BOV. Which one do you have?

got my HID's in today.. they look great!!.. installing them next week..also tested out some hood dampers for Ken at PG and they sorta failed but im not giving up on them yet, there too nice not to try and fit them.. Go Phillies !!!!!

I got a text message around noon saying that one of the few businesses in Alfred (town where I went to college) had burned down. Come to find out that particular business didn't burn down but other ones on that same strip did. There's probably less than 20 businesses in that town and 2 of them burnt to the ground. There were apartments above the businesses too and people lost everything. These things happen all the time but usually it doesn't hit home unless you're familiar with the area. Here's a news article... http://www.eveningtribune.com/news/x23529920/Students-escape-Alfred-fire
The only liquor store in town and a sports store that's been around forever burnt down. And one of the few places to sit down and eat has really bad water damage.. they made really good milkshakes and cheap breakfast.. :(

Always sad to hear when tragedy strikes in your hometown. I hope these photos from this morning brighten your day.

Driving to work yesterday I was realizing it'll only be a week or two before the leaves fall and everything turns to gray. Get out there and enjoy the color while it lasts!

ordered my hids today 6000k from DDM
i miss them (had them in the p5)

Interesting fact: I went to a lighting seminar last night for work. I learned that anything over 6000k or an LED is actually a bad light for your eyes. The increased blue waves (blueish color) actually makes it harder to see. They recommend between 3000k and 6000k as the highest to use.

Exactly. That's what I have, 6000K bulbs which is the brightest and whitest. The higher you go the more the light turns blue/purple.

Here's a Kelvin chart.

Craig, are you at work today, thinking about heading up later.

Sorry I missed your post... but glad you stopped by and picked up the bike trainer. I hope you get a lot of good use out of it. Sorry that the plastic cover was cracking. I think it got damaged in transit. I also had it out in my car for a few days, so the cold may have contributed to that. :(

I also signed up for Fuelly today. If anyone wants to add me as a friend, go for it! My name is craigheon.
