Mahk, just printed out directions from the Expo Center to Patriot Place. Should we leave early enough I plan on swinging by there, figure it will be cool for him to see the stadium.

Just one for being able to remove it. Nothing for fading. It wasn't that expensive, $300 which I thought was good. Time for something different.

Ah, that sux. And hey $300 is $300! That's a set of tires. :) So, not leaving it red then, eh?

Good morning all! Still hope to see some of you @ The 6 Hour Race @ Watkins Glen and of course LRP! We have possibly a dealership that wants to get involved with MOCO, Compass Motors in Middletown, NY. They have a relationship with Skip Barber we may have a raffle prize from the school.

I've been contemplating going up to The Glen. But I've already marked off quite a few days for June. The weekend before is the dance recital and I've also marked off for our daughter's bday the beginning of the month. :( I will be up at The Glen in August though for the Nascar race...taking the boy up. :) Speaking of, anyone have a preference for the stadium seats? I need to buy a couple and figured I'd see if there's a brand/style that is better than the rest.

cool! i'm glad i suggested it! (outie)it's not really out of the way either...gotta take'em in the pro shop too! they also have a hall of fame museum, but he'll prob not know many of the retires!

dude, you've goota make a race before i head to the nursing home!;)

Me too! It will all depend on what time we leave the Expo Center though. The boys are talking about staying until 5pm when it closes but my money is on them calling it quits around 2, 3 at the latest. haha If we do stop, I'll def. take him to the pro shop and have to let him get some gear! You are right about the retirees but you never know, he may surprise me! lol

I know, I know!!! If I can't do The Glen in June I'm going to do my best at making LRP in September! :)

Yup, no hiding this winter.

Wow, that's a cooker. Is it humid as well? Safe trip home.

Thankfully no. Even when it rains (which is weird) it's only around 40% humidity. Average day like today is in the 20's.

morning all, sister n law left this am, bro and mom arrive tonight...looking forward to mom's day and doing a little fishing mon.

morning, so after a couple of attempts on the RF balancer, i got rid of most of the vibration...i think whats left is actually the tire tread...maybe it will settle down after a few miles?

You'll see. Hoping to get it done Sunday or Monday.

Come on Jeff, come to the Glen. It's only 3.5 hours, you done more than that for a Spring meet!!

helllooooooooooooooooo

got the water filter. ill give it a try today after work if i can to see if my water will then be good enough for hosting a meet.

saw Rush last night! (sorry sean :( ). we missed out by just a few feet with getting a shirt from the t-shirt cannon. maybe if i wasnt so beaten up from biking I could have jumped for it, but its okay. Id assume they were shooting out large shirts and it wouldnt have fit me anyway! :D. I did end up buying my first concert t though and walked out with an extra $17 from video poker which paid for my gas to get out there. all in all it was a good night :). sorry sean couldnt join us

glad you had a good time!

we'll catch 'em the next time around. I'm still happy I saw them on the time machine tour when they played moving pictures from start to finish.

Good Morning everyone!

The Rx8 Owners are finally signing up- had a boost in registrants. I've also posted a link asking if anyone would like to offer to bring a few supplies for the feast. We're not sure what kind of support to get from Mazda yet but we'll reimburse you what we can :)

The link brings you to the post of the latest list of registrants, the very next post has details on what I'm talking about as far as supplies. Thanks again everyone, I hope you're having a great Friday before the weekend rain sets in :\

Link to the Past........erm Mountain Climb <-- Sorry, had to :)

Mr. Sean,

I have words from my company... I cannot discuss here, but you have been considered.

Nice and windy here but the sun is out!

The Glen and LRP are not looking good at the moment. Our day started out great yesterday, made it into Manchester just after 11, found parking and enjoyed Brickfair. The boys were impressed with some of the MOCs (a Lego chess match where the pieces moved via a computer program was one of them along with a huge display of a WWII battle from the Pacific) and bought most of the stuff on their lists. Headed home around 2:30 and they were both wiped and wanted to skip The Razor. That's where the day turned south. As I was on the on-ramp for 15S off of 91S in CT, the car up and died on us at approx 4:45! :( I immediately noticed we lost power and the gas pedal wasn't cooperating. The gauge cluster showed the temps were fine but the tach and speedometer were quickly falling and the CEL was lit solid. Popped the hood and everything looked ok from what I could visibly see and all fluids were at full levels (changed the oil on Friday). Called the wife and son's friends mom to let them know, then the State Police followed by my insuracne co. for roadside assistance. Girl verified my info. and estimated the mileage home at 150 miles home which I confirmed from the nav on my phone. After a couple of calls back and forth she said she found a co. willing to tow her home for $500 (only get 16 free miles :() and would be there within the hour. The alternative was to have the wife drive 3hrs to pick us up, 3hrs home, have someone I don't know work on the car and then make the 6hr round trip later in the week...the $500 seemed like a good choice. Until the driver didn't show up until 7ish and thought it was only me to take home. Had to drive back to the shop to swap trucks for one with an extended cab to accomodate the three of us. So we didn't get on the road home until 8:00!!! (argh)

Of course at the shop, the mgr proceeds to tell me that the estimmate of $500 was wrong as the rep told him it was 110 miles where he had it at 150 miles???? As stated above...the girl confirmed with me the mileage of 150 before getting the quote from the co.??? He then says that at their rate of $4.75 a mile it will be well over $600 and wanted to let me know...in case I wanted to change my mind, stay the night in a local hotel and have them look at the car Sunday morning. Sorry but this raised some red flags with me and I'll be contacting the ins. co. tomorrow! And longest 3hr drive home I've ever had..driver was falling asleep and at points along 95S, 87N, 287S and 78W was crossing from slow lane to fast lane and actually hit the guardrail just after we crossed the Tappanzee Bridge! His fiancee was riding along and would poke him from time to time. At several points I was ready to tell him to pull over and drop my car and I'd just make other arrangements. Thankfully we all arrived home safely!!!! I'll be mentioning that to insurance as well!

Got to the mechanics at 11:30 and paid the bill of $769.50 and took our son's friend home and then came home and crashed. Lights, radio worked just fine while we were sitting on the shoulder so I'm thinking fuel pump or timing belt?!

Sorry for the rant and Happy Mom's day to all the mom's out there!!!

Ugh! What a story Jeff!! We have AAA plus and get 100 miles of free towing per service call (and we get 4 each per year = 8 which we rarely use) : / BUT had a 120ish mile tow last year when spicey tanked at an autox outside of Toledo. We had to wait over 3 hours for the tow truck to finally show up but it only cost us $50. Worth having it JUST IN CASE. Glad you made it home safe! What an adventure!

Damn Jeff! I was just about to b**** about stubbing my toe and all the fun shades of dark purple it is now. Not going to now...

oh jeff! you could have given me a call as i live not to far from the merge between 91S and 15S over in farmington. :/ i could have run over with my obd2 scanner and found out what was wrong, then leave the car at my house if we needed to work on it! you know for next time i reckon where im living :)

washed my car yesterday with the new hose filter and a new absorber chamois cloth. came out super well with no water spots!
