NEMOC Random BS Thread

Morning everyone!

Hope you start to feel better Ash.

Snow's a-falling in Worcester since 6:30 - damnit I love that city! :)

feel better! you need to get back on the bike :D

oh the rust. need to figure out a decent way to connect the bumper again to the quarter panel. thinking of some kind of bent bracket and jb weld on the inside of the body. who knows. not going to bother fully fixing it. just cant justify it on a 10 year old car :( :( :(

Just use some gum and a paper clip. ;)

Sorry about Tamz's Grandmother.

+2 on feeling better soon Ash.

Plan today is to clean the car and visit my SIL in Palm Beach Gardens for dinner. Little cool today and cloudy but it's supposed to get sunny this aft.

Thanks Bruce, it's been one tough week and the next few days will be really tough but she's in a better place now and no longer suffering. That is what has been getting us through.

Enjoy your visit!

Not the flu, hopefully. Head cold and sore throat plus just tired in general. I def need to get back on the bike, ended up putting back on some of what I've lost in the past few months, uhg. My first race is technically on Sunday but I'm sure it'll be cancelled.

Ok, good to hear and drink hot tea! That's my father-in-law's remedy for everything.

*edit - Thought I'd share our daughter's tweet about her Bana. :'(

i know, i wanted to fix my car at one point too and like you say you can't justify the cost of repairs (to do it right) i was going to drive to ME and meet a guy from canada to get a used door with no rust...then the other door started, then the hood, rear deck lid and strut tower and i said forget it, buy a miata! ;)

SO the trip to see my SIL was cancelled today as I95 was closed due to a brush fire. We will try again tomorrow.

On another note Mia turned 99k today.

99k? That's more than my 1996 (which I have subsequently taken off the market.. It's worth more to me than anyone else)

I just got home last night... I've been on Long Island for a few days for a funeral. I also found out yesterday that I was rejected for a job I thought was in the bag.

Not in the best of spirits, admittedly.

Ah, bummer man. :(

Working on a new blog post, for those of you who may have been following while I was overseas. Should be a fun one.

Sorry to hear about both. I know what you mean about the car.

Morning all. Another sunny day here. It's a curse. Washed Mia yesterday, will try to reach the SIL again today.

Where the heck did this snow come from? This is what happens when I don't watch the news and have been home sick all week.

I ended up coming into work, which yes is a mile away from my house, but I went downtown first to get coffee. Roads are complete s***. Work parking lot isn't cleared, either. Got to use all the functions on the Saab, like heated seats, ABS and traction control, but it handled well and predictably in the snow.

Morning Everyone!

Fun having a commute from Worcester to Saugus every morning, especially when we've got 10 inches of snow on the ground in many places. Left my house around 6:00am and stepped into my office around 8:30. Not bad all things considered.

The 2014 handled pretty well for not having snow tires on it - the weight of it still plays in it's favor in the snow.

Hope everyone is driving safe out there.

I hear ya. Had some offers on my car, just not where I would be comfortable with though. Most likely will take it off the market come spring time.
