So today after I wiped down the car, went for a drive, and pulled into the garage. A bird flies in, drops a motherload on my hood and takes off. Go figure. At least it was easy to clean. Nasty birds.

how cheap do u think one could get a new jetta TDI? I saw an ad in a local paper for 21,395 the other day...wonder how bare bones a jetta could be...
No sales tax in CT (~1200 bucks savings), I think the federal tax rebate is currently 1400 or 1500, 4500 cash for my F150 clunker, free scheduled maintenance, and 50mpg>15mpg
but of course its not quite as invincible as my f150 (especially in the snow) or as useful at football games and concerts. hmmmm

^ our 08 Jetta S is nice. Base with the addition of 17 rims, heater seats, heated mirrors and spoiler. the base jetta is around 17.5K......believe the TDi is 22-23.
i heard the TDI is a little quicker and has loads of twist........
the trunk is big.
might me a little tight in the front though. seats are supportive and well cusioned.

Yeah I was thinking about getting Jetta TDI before my speed, though it wasn't quite out in the States yet but it seemed like a really nice car. I think it would be a good move!
