NEMOC Random BS Thread

My engine mount came in so I took the car to the dealership to get it replaced and have them fix the camber. I told them to set the front to -0.5 and the rear to -1.5. They had no problem getting the camber correct, but it put the rear toe out of whack. Only way to fix that is with the rear control arms...which of course have seized after 80k of New England driving. They pulled one off and attempted to heat it up and get it to move but it wouldn't budge. Long story short, I'm looking at $480 to get new arms installed so they can adjust the rear toe. At least they're going to give me a free loaner car for the day since the parts aren't in stock.

morning all, starting to get into the holiday spirit, i guess....with the warm nov it's been hard to think of Christmas and winter!

Morning folks! After a long weekend of driving and visiting and stuff like that, I'm actually ready to be back in the office.

So I have to ask Bruce, is it difficult to acclimate back to non-American holidays?

Not too much. Sort of the same issue but in reverse. Some are the same, and some are province specific. Get boxing day back at Xmas.

Not much going on. Still no snow to speak of, very warm.

Finally got to drive a new focus for the past 2 days. Very impressed with the car. Love the new auto tranny. Lots of pep and handles like a 4 door Miata. Also quickly tried a stick focus, clutch seemed very stiff.

Which tranny did you get Chris?

You wish you had yours on the road still... I need to get mine off the road.

After driving a Dodge Avenger for a day, I'm glad to have my MS6 back. Alignment feels much better now, and it looks better too! Car is so much quieter on the highway with the new tires and alignment (even though they are snow tires).

(hi) Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, ours was great. We got the tree up and decorated and changed the outside decorations up a bit.

So Bruce, any pics yet? :p

How about it Mahk....weather was beautiful....there's always Spring!

What's up folks?

Drove the Civic to the shop this morning to get the brake lines fixed. Let's pray it doesn't cost me an arm and a damn leg.

Sooooo I just got my evaluation of my Navy training from the college I applied for, and they gave me 44 credit hours towards my bachelors which leaves me with 80 credit hours left until I am finished. I also have about 12-15 more credit hours available that I can have reviewed after I enroll.

Wooooo!

Electrical Engineering with concentration in power systems, PLCs, automated control, etc... Pretty much what I do for my job. Hehe

Same thing I do... kinda... but I just design it and outsource it to folks who know what they're doing specifically.
