need to know which is the right protege

Ok i think that even though i fix my financial problems i still want to just give back my msp so i can relax for a little. So im wondering which is the regualar protege that would be easier to make look like if it was a msp? This is for later when i think im good to move into a project, but if i do change my mind on the car i want to built then mostlikely i will sale all my parts.

Umm.. MP3, change the interior, wing, and add a lip to the front bumper. Well, I think the DX or LX.. something like that. But geez, I think by the time you spend all the money reconstructing a regular Protege into looking like a MSP, you might as well find another MSP and just put a new engine in it. I know there's been some people that has redone their cars to look like MSP's, but I personally wouldn't do it unless I already had the regular Protege as my car. I wouldn't just go out and buy one to do a conversion, but that's just me. Nothing like the real thing

yeah thats maybe what i would end up doing if i really want to go back into the same project car. Im pretty sure i could find an msp with a blown motor for a good price. But im really thinking hard on what should i do, im considering a civic hatch with a K24 or an evo. But only time can tell, right now i have a 97 civic sedan. I thought that theres no way tha n.e one could make it look good but i found a picture of one with a SI bumper, that civic looks pretty nice.

what mods do you have on your msp? why not sell the mods, and try to keep the car?

Actually the MP3 is identical to the 03 MSP. the only difference is color and it's non-turbo. It has the racing harts different shade, Sparco interior, all the racing beat exhaust, and suspention pieces as well. If you want a MSP twin get an MP3, and save some money.

Yeah, but with the MP3, technically the rear lip is different, it doesn't have a front lip like the MSP, the rear wing is not the same (as on a Titanium MSP) and the interior is different. I know, because I parted one out. It is basically very similar in style, but for a MSP "conversion" those few parts are different from the MSP. Then it depends on if you want a conversion of a 2003 or 2003.5 MSP.

Actually if i'm not mistaken and i'm not since i have the part numbers in front of me the mp3 and 03 msp shared the same parts bin. The splitter, rear skirt, side skirts, spoiler and muffler were all shared. That means the difference is in the turbo kit and badging.

just small things like the spoiler and shift knob is all i really noticed and of course the fog deletes

same style rims but darker color
yellow stitching instead of orange

im sure there a couple more i just cant think of anymore off the top of my head.
