Two quick questions:
1) How the hell do I get the tube going from the guage through the firewall hole where the yellow speaker wire travels through (as suggested by members of this site)?
2) What power source do I need to tap into to get the boost guage light to turn on when I turn on the lights for my normal guages?
Thanks.

dr. fudge installed mine and i remember he had to poke a hole through a rubber spot where 2 other wires were already going through (dun remember what the 2 other wires were for). he had to use a wire coat hanger to poke the hole, then used a screw driver to widen it.

i believe that he tapped into the dimmer for the powering the gauge.

sorry if i wasn't very helpful.

just PM Dr. Fudge, err Dr. Sound. he'll help ya out.

the hardest part is getting the line through the rubber grommet. poke a hole, and try using a pintool (i used a metal skewer) to push the line through. when its on the other side, pull it through with a set of pliers.

I have the same problem...dont' know what wire to hook it up too. I know to hook it up the dimmer switch but nobody is saying what wire that is, HELLO PEOPLE SAYING WHAT COLOR HELPS....Thank you

The weather's been really bad today, so I'm gonna have to put off my install untill tomorow morning. I'll let you know how I did it.

I read that someone hooked their gauge up to the dimmer switch and the dimmer actually made the gauge the opposite brightness of the cluster. Maybe they didn't wire it right, I don't really remember, but I'd say why not just wire it up to the foglights? That way you can go driving without people seeing the gauge and racing you all of the time. It'll also cut the light when you turn your brights on, which helps out a bit.

We tried all three wires coming out of the dimmer and one wire is constant power, one is ground, and the third is the dimmer. The wire works the opposite of the dash, we think there is a converter or inverter of some sort up under the dash.

I just clipped it to the constant power wire.
