Okay here's the full story.
Got the custom msp and the weapon r hard pipes on w/ a tial bov. Installed that and everything was running fine. After that me and my mechanic started to install the ss afc. Now whenever I put a lil to much pressure on the gas the car just stalls on me.

Vac is @ 19. Car is idleing fine in between 7-8k
Now once I start driving (w/o a heavy foot) the car tends to go from let's say 2.5k to stalling. Normally it shud dropp back to idle. But it does not. We both have no idea what it might be. Can I get some help or ideas thrown this way

Thx for the help in advance. Once I get home ill try to put in more of a description cuz I am now on my blackberry

2.5k is usually when you start to get on the boost. Have you looked at a map yet? Double check that and check your settings too.

is the bov venting to atmosphere? do you still have the stock bpv? dual setup? some more details about how you have the bov set up will help out

My car did somethign like that and i had to get a new ECU, but i was still able to drive it though but i had to keep the RPM's up when i stopped or it would stall and it was a b**** to start back up. Hopefully the ECU is fine, but there is a way you can test the ECU im just not sure what it is.

Good luck though.

My mechanic and I checked it out and everything seems to be fine..

I still have the stock bpv on..
BOV wise but i havent bothered to check myself, or ask my mechanic

Could it possibly be this?
I think my mechanic explained this to me, but I think a little bit of ADD kicked in and I totally blanked out... But I have been looking around for pics to see other engine bays and I DONT see this

This pic is the over all area I am interested in

But this pic shows the GAP between the intercooler piping and the SRI piping

Is that your engine bay??, im not entirelly to sure what you showing or asking lol, but if that is your engine bay then have those nipples capped off would not cause the problem. One thing that could possibly help would be to relocate your MAF if you are runnigna atmospheric BOV but you did say you have the stock BPV so if you are running that right know then relocating the MAF wont do anything.

Also do you have CEL and is it coming up Cam position sensor??

There is nothing wrong with the setup in the pics it should run fine, besides relocatign the MAF since it looks like its atmospheric BOV, but that would not make your car run like unless your BOV is stuck open and not sealing right.

I had a Greddy Type RS on my car and i would not seal right so i would loose alot of out of it and i would run really rich.

Just another idea.

There is no CEL, Car runs fine, I get alot of power from it, the only down fall is when its time to slow down, I cant just drop it into neutral. Once I do that, it either drops to 0 and stalls, or it drops to unsafe #'s like 500RPM or less.

ill try to do that, once it gets quite...

And about that turkey... got to do something about that... takes the PSSHHHHHH away cuz the turkey is to strong... hopefully ill get good news over the weekend and see whats going on

well thats good you dont have a cel, so mens you ECU is good then, and are you getting turkey on the stock BPV cause i really dont think you should be getting turkey with the BPV. Maybe you leak is somewhere around the BPV. Just a thought.

Maybe Im blind, but Im not seeing the stock bpv in those pics.. those capped offed spots look to be where the bpv would go..

x2

u got 2 options, put the stock bpv there, or relocate the maf before the tial bov. thats the reason ure stalling, air that was read by the MAF is not going into the engine, but instead pushed out by the tial bov.

He also has the option of recirculating the bov.. It would be easier and cheaper to just install the bpv though..

i dont think thats a shot of his engine bay, i could be wrong though, and im pretty sure he did say he was running the stock BPV

But def. relocate the MAF and run a atmospheric BOV
