You are prob right about the speed!!

But we have a couple of problems. That would be about 2 grand of problems. I dont know if most of you know this but here in this great state of Jersey the insurance rates for a young guy are out of this world. On a speed I would easily be paying over 2 grand for insurance. Right about now, I am not in the best spot in the world to be paying that much. Life sucks.

I know Jersey insurance really really sucks. In fact, a ton of companies have just stopped writing Jersey policies altogether.

How much more would it cost for a MSpeed vs. a regular Protege? Is it really that much more? Just because of the turbo?

Pretty much, the 5 is not considered a sports car which I know it isnt, but at least it looks sorta sporty. The speed as you can imagine would def be a sports car. The would say the speed would be an extra 600 bucks a year

I'd pay the same insurance if I had a z28 camaro vs a p5. I've called my insurance company and they have quoted me for a firebird, z28 camaro, p5, nissan truck, and toyota corolla, and they were all within $30 of each other.

Hey, when you already pay the highest rates, there's no where to go but down.

what you guys have to keep in mind is the dealers don't care if you pay cash, it is not like they get any incentives.

in fact, they would rather prefer that you finance.

Dang....did I get jipped! I paid 18,000 for a yellow 2003, manual, cargo mat, net, window tinting, anti-theft device, rear bumper guard, auto-dim rearview mirror with compass and outside temperature gauge.
Well, maybe I didn't get jipped. 0% financing and an awesome ride! I love it and it was well worth it. I wanted that car then and there. They had me in the palm of their hands. Oh well!

ok ok I got the deal!!!

Here is the deal I signed today. Mp5, auto, 6cd, moonroof, and a really really fat custom leather package two tone. The entire thing with the 6% taxes and all that other bull crap comes to an out the door price of 17499. I feel I really really did well. Picking up the car in a week when the leather is in order!!!

Hihoslva I got a choice of what to pick. The guy game me like one hudred swatches of leather and told me to pick. I have to give him the answer by Monday. I am thinking of going pretty basic prob mostly black and then granite to match the dash. Or since my car is silver maybe go granite and some darker tone of grey. I dont know but I need to make up my mind. I will post the pics when the car is done. I cant wait. The funny thing is that I was going to get the factory leather on the car but they sold it right before I got there to some dude. So they had no more with leather but the Manager came up big for me, only catch was that I paid 200 more out the door. Instead of 17300 out the door I got it for 17499 but I feel its better leather and I got a few little dopey extras too.

I will chime in on my opinion for leather colors - take it for whatever it's worth to ya'.

I would try to find one that matches the interior "off black" for the main seat color, and then a gray or silver to match the exterior color for the center sections of each seat. IMHO, that would look sharp.

That's what I would get if I decided to get some Katskinz leather.
