pushrod engines - the cam lifts the push rod which in turn lifts the rocker on one side and pushes down the rocker on the other side and that is what lifts the valve. so much weight to move no wonder pushrod engines SUCK
and we have a solid setup. solid basically means that the cam lifts the valve directly. hyrdalic lifters have something between the cam and the valve to lift the valve. there are actually 3 types of ways to lift the valve (i think there are 3), but i cant remember the other
nope. Ever since I picked my car up from the dealer, its not clunking. I have no idea wtf did they do (guy told me they didnt do anything) but there's no clunk at all. Ill check the air filter today for any holes.twilightprotege said:weird.
