That's basically what I think it is. But some Nav systems sync into the radio/CD player-- they do more than what google maps does. Thats what I want to find out.
And you print it and you have one route and that's it.
I said the same thing about the nav...originally didn't want it, but the car the dealer had happened to have the system so I said screw it. Took a 1600 mile trip over the summer and several times I ran into construction and congestion and the ability of the Nav system to run detours and alternate routes once you're already going is invaluable.
Not to mention that it consistently maps faster routes than either Google Maps or Mapquest.
My only gripe is that it doesn't always know when roads are one-ways and the updates...or lack thereof. My '08 MS3 has a Nav disc dated 2006-1 and according to my dealer there hasn't been an update since.
