Any way to keep the Audio on the navi screen and not have it go back to navigation?

Yes there is a setting. I don't remember where but it's in the menu options somewhere. Check the manual or just wonder around in the options.

At first I had it set to automatically go back to navigation but I find I'm usually more interested in the radio display.

Another thing I've found out. Obviously you have to press a button to display navigation once you turn the Auto feature off. If you press the Navi button it takes you back AND repeats the last navigation command (if you are under route guidance) But you can press the Audio button and it will also switch back to navigation but it WON'T repeat the last command.

Nice to know if you have sleeping passengers on a trip.

That doesn't work if you have it set to automatically go back to the Nav display after 20 seconds, which is a setting that Shaz explained how to change.
