My Turbo Project

awesome another MSP swap :). you'll want to plan for some fuel management better than just the MSP ECU if you're getting a GT28RS. basically you don't need a gt28rs if you don't have forged internals. plus the MSP cast iron manifold doesn't go well with it.

still you're going to have to keep it at minimum boost w/o forged internals. and that cast iron manifold is pretty restrictive.

for right now, i'll be keeping it low (8-9psi). I'd like to eventually go forged internals, tubular/custom manifold

shopping list and spreadsheet updated. I'll be getting an oil pressure gauge. [insert all your jokes here]

[insert all your jokes here, too]

cuz now saying something like "Maybe you should put an oil level gague on there too" is far less witty when you already called it :p

Interested in the MAM sleeper kit?
I'm putting my car back to stock.

Had some goodies show up today:
  • Turbohoses Hard Pipes
  • Turbohoses SMIC
  • INJEN Cold Air Intake

quick update:

bought a Vibrant exhuast from someone on the forum. only thing left to buy is the turbo itself. I'm talking to HorsepowerFreak, hopefully I can get some kind of discount.

I'll be placing my order (cltuch, flywheel, LSD, oil pan, IM) to Protegegarage probably this Friday.

I also need to look into an EMS. I'm leaning towards Microtech, but they just discontinued the LT8 and the LT10 is $200 more expensive.

more parts ordered today:

AEM Wideband O2 Gauge/Sensor
AWR Baffled Oil Pan
Tochigi-Fuji Limited Slip Differential
Fidanza Flywheel
Exedy Clutch

Damn Luke, if you stay at this rate, your car will be boosted before I'm done with the Miata.

I look forward to seeing this stuff go on your car.

updated my spreadsheet if you want to see the damage done. I still need to find a turbo, and am waiting on pricing for my gauges.

Are you installing all of this yourself? Looks like you need an install meet to happen for all of these parts. That's alot for one person to put on. BTW, I've got most of the egt guage installed. I've only got the temp. probe left, that's a little harder than I thought it would be.
