My TTD build thread

Cool videos, it's always interesting to play with camera mounting spots. Congrats on the track record.

Do you like the straight shot to the keyhole or going through the chicane?

They are both fun, but I think I like the pro course (no chicane) better because it leaves that corner open to so many different lines. It's interesting to figure out what works best for your car on a given day. There is really only one line on the club course with the chicane.

Read pretty much the entire thread today; great job on the car and on being so successful. It's nice seeing our cars doing so well in these types of races :)

Not sure what you've done with the fuel pump but if you haven't already, I'd suggest changing all those awful brass screws for SS bolts. I did this last year (after having to drill out just about every screw) and it will sure make things easier if I need to mess around with it again as it took me hours to get it out...

Great weekend at MidOhio. Track records Sat and Sun. My day was cut short because I snapped off the threaded end of my driver side axle which was a little scary because it caused my to have no brakes before the fastest corner on the track, but at least I only use a tap before that one and the brake caliper kept the hub and wheel from shooting off the car.

On to the videos:

Oh wow how did that happen? Fatigue? Either way congrats on the track records and I'm glad you and the car are ok. Keep rockin sir (rockon)

Pretty sure we've gotta be friends on FB for us to see that. You can however right click the actual picture, select "Copy Image Location" or whatever your browser of choice puts there, then paste that instead :)

Great to hear about the records Bill......I will find out more about the tranny today! I wil let you know what the carnage was like. I felt I would have a great weekend and then the tranny let go....I did have my personal best on the Club Course during practice, my one and only run.....

I will be shooting for Putnam park in October. I will be heading down early to Indy to have Eric Meyer corner balance and set the car up for me as well. If you are going you are more than welcome to join us.

Front Mount intercooler came in today so it looks like its time to bring this back from the dead and make a list of what I need to do before May (Since I'm going to miss the April event). So here are my major changes / tasks for this year:
- Changing to 225/45/15 Hoosier R6s on 15x8 Rota Slipstreams.
- Lower the car a little over an inch from the suspention (and just under an inch from the tire size)
- Install Front Mount Intercooler
- Make a Speedway style rear swaybar (AWR is on full stiff and I need more - If anyone wants it I'll do $160 shipped) OR up the rear spring rates to 800 lb/in but I'm worried about the shock durability
- Remove all of my ballast! Dropping from a 2760 lb classing to 2625 lb classing with driver, which means getting the car to about 2415.
- Make a new splitter and brake cooling ducts to fit directly under the bumper without an airdam
- Replace my broken axle
- Retune the engine to make sure I stay under 180 hp with the opened up intake (currently using small hardpipes that are probably limiting at higher rpms)
- Remove ABS system and replace with proportioning valve.

Not too bad really.
