spankmymonkey said:go directly to the manufacturer. i have been dealing with 'cupping' or 'siping' (depends on who you talk to) on my MSP (RE040's suck) dryrotting is warranty and should NOT be prorated. if they are bridgestone/firestone, go directly to a "firestone" store... goodyear, go to a "goodyear" store...
hope that helps. feel free to pm with q's

using tire shine actually makes your tires dry rot faster if you dont have it on constantly..
tire shine draws the oil OUT of the tire and rots it from the inside out...
and yes you need to go to a tire dealer..
discount tire would probably be your best bet. since they are the largest independent tire company...
they will take care of this problem for you...
from my experience .. dunlop will probably have you pay for the tread you have used...
which isnt much and is TONS better than shelling out money for new ones on your own...
discount will take care of you... and if they dont i will personally call the store and give them hell... i work at one of the most known discount tires b/c we were the 2nd store ever .. many people know me and my boss...
let me know how things go with this

ill take care of you...
some discounts dont care about customers but many do...
i go above and beyond to make my customers happy...
also if you can see the DOT numbers that would help me also...
it should be 3 sets of 4 numbers and letters...
if you can find the dot it would help me a great deal... i also need to see the tires to see if they were telling you the truth or if they were just jerking you around
mazdamp3_18 said:the warranty on goodyears dryrotting is 4 years and your tires were made in 2001 so if there is dryrotting then they will be covered...
i dont know if they will cover 100% though since you have 18k miles
