My Show/AutoX P5 build

i'm confused, if your wife is out of work and you are falling behind on payments (and possibly other bills?) why are you spending (read: wasting) money to mod your P5?

well good luck dealing with the repo. hopefully you can get it back soon, but please, put your family before modding/racing/showing your car. it's *only* a protege for crying out loud!

Maybe your wife signed you up for Overhaulin'. I've been trying to get my wife to do that to me. I figure Chip Foose and company could supercharge the MPV and switch it over to a manual transmission!

Yah that is true, we will see how my finances are after I get my car back. Sadly most likely I won't have the money to buy a sub and an amp before the show now. We will see though. Thanks for all the support and help through all this sam. Dan

Well I know we can at least get the door pods and the bumper done. You can probably run the components off the deck for a while, although I don't recommend it since they're probably 100w RMS and the deck puts out a whopping 15watts, lol. =) And heck, if you're gonna go the 12" sub route, I have 2 sitting in my garage collecting dust - one Infinity and one JL Audio. You can have one, or even just use them for templates to build the box if you already have a different sub in mind. Then we can get the sub box done too, and you can just finish up the rest of the system whenever...

My wife has a job now(she was only jobless for a couple weeks), and no I havent been spending much at all on my P5 during this time. I have been very conservative with my mods and have even passed up many oportunity's because of my situation right now. All the mods I have been getting are eather free or I purchased with extra money I received outside are budget. But I suppose I should have even used that money for finances though. So thanks for the advice guys, I do always put my family first but I slip up sometimes as we all do.

I called them yesterday but my car wasn't in there system yet. So hopefully I will know something when I call them today. I havent done much to the fiberglass yet, I took one off the door panel.

Well they would be kind of hard to take off considering it is paint. The Mazda dealership I bought it from pays detailers to come and paint a few of there cars and that was one of them. So they flames came on the car when I bought it. I am aventually going to do a two tone paint job so that will get rid of those. I am not expecting to win anything this year, don't have the car the way I want it now.

Yah you got me there. The car wasn't my cup of tea when I bought it, I didn't really even like the yellow color. But I saw alot of potential in it, and I always planned on painting it one day.(shrug)

Yah, if I can come up with $1300 I can get it back as long as I pay them before the 9th of July. So I am pretty sure I can get most of that. I will keep you guys posted.
