Your plan sounds good, but I would buy a spare motor and start building it while you're trying to make hp on the stock bottom end.

most people have had very very bad luck with any kind of N20 kit on these cars. Even without the turbo the engine still finds a way to blow it self to hell even with the smallest shot and the correct amount of fuel.
Why blow your engine if you dont have to? the down time, cost of instalation and all of the other stuff you might have to replace will make it alot more than $200cad.

go for it, just make sure you have good gas, colder plugs, the whole 9 or it will not last. People say the stock motor cant take 9psi, the must drive like etards. 10 on 91, higher with 94 + meth daily almost at 100,000kms with no problems with my motor. Of course I dont boost 5th, that would just be dumb.

just make sure you have all supporting mods, you have to pay to play

What about fuel and spark control. Adding boost means less timing.

ive havent run into that problem yet. A Flashed ECU would be another story.

ive been runing 13psi for the past 2 years with no problems and pushing hard. And i have been runing unichip for a year no problems. Are motors are story if u treat them right.

It's because you have tuning. lol. I dare you run 13 psi w/o Unichip. Actually, I dont, but I agree if it's TUNED WELL it will hold up fine. I worry more about the tranny and lsd.

well yea it is tuning lol ahah but mined u the unichip is right of the box i havent got it retuned for my set up. and i was runing 13psi before i had it. But yea it is all about tuning the car and if it is done right u will not have any problem and even the tranny if ur not ruff on it and have the right oils in ur good to go.

what you should be asking is what mods do the people who have blown up their motor have, and what mods people who are making lots of power without blowing anything up have. Should give you a better understanding of what it would take to make a fast msp that can hold together. 200-220WHP is a everyday thing for many MSPers one the stock motor, 91 octane.

Hm, how much boost til it's bad to boost in 5th? I assume anything over stock boost is bad for that. =( I'm still used to driving an automatic so I find myself boosting in 5th occasionally.

u can boost in 5th just dont have a rock on ur right foot. u can adjust it by how much u give it gas. i think its more so u shouldnt stay in high boosted for a long time in 5th. stay around 7.5 in 5th

hey whats up. i havent gone by that tims there in a while, everybody there is cool but i keep getting suckered into the "hey come chill" and you get there and nobody wants to race or do anything, just make fun of the cars pulling in when they dont drive anything nice either (aside from Daves Civic)so i dunno, people are too critical sometimes. still lots of fun but i need a little break, maybe ill come by some time this week. we need to go for another run if you got your clutch working! im still having that same ghey spike but ill manage :) pm me if you ever wanna meet up.
