Finally installed my Catz spot lamps on my yellow p5

The yellow on yellow issue seems to be a love/hate thing with most people. I'm somewhat in between, but with them on....there's no question. It feels like I am a lighthouse with the beams :D

Anyway, the good stuff...

P.S. Having some trouble with the headlamps. Those are my OEM H7 bulbs there. It looks like I have 8000k HIDs for some reason.

Any ideas?

nice, very nice. I personally like them, but I think they look stoopid(like that speeling), when they are matched with blue lights....you know wut I mean. Like when someone has yellow fogs, and blue plasma headlights. But your looks good. get some day time pics

I didn't get my headlights to shine in different colors on purpose.
Not that I wasn't going to...:)

I dig the IS300 look with the purple lights and yellow fogs, but don't get me wrong I don't want something to blow up on me!

and yes I know they look smaller than the stock fogs, the base of the lights (back) is smaller on these. Had to ditch the stock brackets as well

They appear slightly blueish, because its a true white now, because it contrasts with the yellow, the way they should. Looks hot that way, not the actual Blue I just metioned...lol

no, the yellow fogs are now recorded as yellow and your digicam uses your stock headlights as the white balance point of reference. if you want to see how the lights really look, take a pic with the white balance on daylight instead of the auto setting. the stock headlights will turn back to a yellow and the yellow fogs will be REALLY yellow. looks good... i just wish they made something that is a direct swap with our fogs in the same color.

the headlights still look tainted in person, if not more. but i guess thats just the light mixture/contrast, as mspower was saying

yeah, you are just confusing your camera, trust your eye, and for direct drop in fogs I think Victor (Pirana) had some that were pretty close, I just cant remember what kind he had. you'd have to ask him.

i'm really digging those catz lights.

i've never really been a catz fan, but seeing those yellow fogs really changes my opinion on them.

is it just a bulb, or do they require a whole housing / lens change?

The stock lamp and bracket had to come off. In talking with the others I found I could either make an L bracket and mount them upside down or enlarge one of the holes for the stock brackets. The lights had a bolt built onto the base (back) of the lamp. I just used that enlarged hole to mount it.

I spliced the wires into the stock harness
