My New EMS! *Pics*

Small update...

I got mine for 500 through my local dealer as a small discount to get it up and running on some local cars to prove it worthiness... Its MSRP is 680.00 but can be found online for about 535.00... The harness is an additional 80.00... Thats all you need until you upgrade your injectors.

Mine is going on wed. night/thursday morning. I'll keep you updated with the install. We are also going to fix a lot of the small issues my car has while we do this. (My belts are starting to squeel, small oil leak, small coolant leak, downpipe rattle, etc...)

stock MSP injectors are only good for about 12psi on the stock turbo before their effeciency runs out and they cant provide enough fuel into the mix. So to prevent your car from leaning out in higher boost situations, you can run bigger, 440, or 550cc injectors for more fuel.

No i knew that. You said you needed the EManage Ultimate, then the harness, and then tahts all you need until you upgrade the injectors, like you meant an add-on for the emanage. Unless i just mis-understood you.

Sounds like complete GReddy sex. Its cool that you only need the box and ONE harness for this bad boy to be in business. I can't wait to hear about the results of tuning.

No i just meant that a lot of people on this board dont need to upgrade their injectors because they have stock internals and are running under 12psi of boost. So for most people, that is all you would need. However, for people pushing more PSI, then you could upgrade your injectors however you see fit.

But you wouldn't need anything more for the Emanage is all i was trying to get to. Yes stock injectors only last so far, then you need more fuel, either extra, or larger. But i'd go larger if the Emanage works out. I really hope this does because it will be my purchase i and will be glad i waited.

Subscribing for results.... sounds sweet but I don't know enough about tuning to use it!

I am kind of currious to see the results myself. If all goes well then I have money in hand just need to find a place to get one of these bad boys for a good price.

Update!

It got installed on the IS300 today as the test subject dummy car... My car is getting done tommorow... Just thought I would share the installation with you folks! Oh yea, Greddy said that we were the first ones in the U.S. doing installs. They havent even talked to anyone else who actually has a unit in their possesion yet. Its also why they are so useless at answering any questions we have. Common response: "We just got it two weeks ago and are as new to it as you are..." Thanks.

Important Questions:
1. Does the MSP ECU Pinout differ from the regular FS-DE Pinout in any way?
2. Is there a Pinout for sensing boost on the ecu, or is it just wastegate controlled?

Now for the pics/install...

There we go all 88 wires extended and ran into the ECU compartment! ... Normal people will NOT nett all of these wires in an IS, but i wanted to have all of the options available.

the first of many solder joints!

Here you can see everything almost done, there are several groups of wires seen here that are not yet connected, as well as the extras from things such as VTEC, as well as the extra wires if i want to change from the wasted spark ignition to true individual coils.

Just a final look at the install before putting the cover on.

here you can see the emanage harness running down the drivers side (US) of the car next to the factory harness.

To answer your question, Yes w/ the Cam and crank angle sensors monitored the emange can datalog true ignition timing. There is also an offest feature that may or may not need to be set up for this to be accurate.

I will start having some more reviews etc as i get more of a chance to play w/ this thing, but so far everything seems good.

As far as we know, this is THE FIRST car in the U.S. with it installed!

Looking nice Matt...but im still teh winnar with MegaSquirt =P (pssh so what if you have a built engine and an intercooler bigger than my house). Hit me up sometime, hopefully I can get MS installed within the next few days, can't wait to play with it.

subing just for the ease of tuning ---

sounds like this thing is what some of you have been long awaiting -- good luck

Sorry to burst your bubble... but I know of several 3000GT's running this system already... so definitely not the first.. and yes it is E-Manage Ultimate.
