your sayin 15.5k...........is that ONLY msp+taxes or is that anything else bein thrown in there? so then the car was prolly around 14.5k..................................i dunno..................thats decent. ive deffinitely seen plenty of speeds with lower miles than that go for that price in the past few months. seen some go for a much lower price too (mine). id say its workable. but i still wouldn't even think about the warranty being good. that dealer may promise you the world but unless its in compete writing from a person who can make a difference, doesn't mean anything. you think that dealer will still be there in 2 years when you need a new tranny (or whatever). trust me. i used to be a salesman, its the name of the game. lie and just hope it doesn't come back. its sad but true, one of the reasons ill never be a salesman again

yea it was 14.5k and the taxes and tags raised it to 15.5k...

i'll make sure everything is in writing and signed... ima request a copy to keep on record... and this dealership has been around for a long time... my dads first financed car was from this dealership, and that was bout 10 years ago... so i think in the next 2-3 years that the dealership will still be around... and my copy of the warranty will be too...

so, buy or no buy??? or should i demand more??? i pretty much saved ma ass over 6k on jus sayin the cluster was switched lol...

no i meant that particular dealer (the sales guy). if he'll still be around when things go bad. i dunno. id be on the maybe side with that. just keep in mind that warranty may nat be any good but you know what......mines not really good either. it would take so much to put my car back to stock right now to avoid the warranty getting voided. lets see what others say. my vote says............eh.....its a better price than before.

o u meant the salesman... o well if the warranty is in writing, then it should still be valid no matter wat... and i'm most likely gettin it for free or a possibly a huge discount... so it won't really matter... when spring hits, its gonna be moddin time...lol

Never fall in love with a car. You will pay too much. The warranty is 4 years or 50,000. Don't buy that extended warranty. MSP owners paid between 15K and MSRP for brand new ones depending on when they bought it. Forget about KBB or Edmunds or whatever. You will be upside down on your loan if you pay what they are asking. That means you owe/financed more than what the car is worth. There are plenty of MSP's out there for sale. Shop around. Don't be a sucker!

1st... i'm not buyin the warranty, its most likely free... and if i do pay, its gonna be mad cheap...

2nd... i can't find a brand new MSP...

3rd... when u finance, u always pay more than wat the car is supposed to be, thats how banks make there money...unlike me, i got 6k off the total so i'm not paying more than i should, i actually saved...

4th... yea, there plenty for sale.......... in different states and s***... i don't have time to travel for a car... i have one 7 miles from my house and its jus as good as the one that is over in NJ or FL...

5th... i'm not a sucker...

6th... Who didn't fall in love with there MSP??? i mean seriously, thats the main reason why yall bought it, and also it has alot of potential...

7th and final... the extended warranty is only 3 years/ 36k mile warranty...

(weakest)

not true. one way or another the derlership will get thier money right then and there. if you pay them or a bank pays them. money is money. now if you were buying a new car and financing though Mazda Financing then yeah, cash will be cheaper. but with other banks it wont matter. remember to keep issues seperate. dealers try to confuse customers by shoving it all together to where the customer doesn't really see everything.

iight...i get it... money is money... this salesman has yet to try to confuse me... he was confused when i mentioned the cluster, then he went out for himself and checked... i was right... so ya know, thats when i got ma discount...

You just don't get it. So be it, buy the car and pay too much. Only a fool pays too much for a car. You are obviously young and will just have to learn this the hard way.

WTF are u tarking aboot? Have u nawt red the last 88 posts?????!!one

Sure, you're getting a 6k discount. The funny thing is that you're still paying too much. Let me tell you a story.

One day, I went to buy a loaf of bread that is worth $2. The store was asking for $100 for it. The bread had a spot of mold on it, but I still wanted this bread really, really bad. After all, they don't make it any more, and it's hard to find bread like this in a purple wrapper.

I showed the baker that the bread had a spot of mold on it, and he told me I could have it for $10. Sure, it's only worth $2, but he's going to give me a free pat of butter with my bread - but he might make me pay for it. I have to go by the bakery after school to talk to him.

I talked to some bread experts on a forum the other day, and they told me that this bread deal is no good. I don't care what they say, I am still going to buy the bread. When they respond to my posts, I act like I didn't even read what they wrote. I'm not sure why I asked them, because I'm going to buy the moldy bread for too much anyway.

But wait - I'm not going to buy it...unless they give me a good deal. In that case, I'll buy it. So you can completely disregard the first half of the first sentence in this paragraph, because I make no sense. I'm also not going to buy the satisfaction guarantee for the bread, because they're going to give it to me for free, unless they charge me $4 for it, in which case I will buy it.

I ended up buying the bread, and it ended up having way more mold than I expected. I ended up having to go to the hospital and having my stomach pumped. I had to pay a hospital bill of $500, and I showed the baker that I bought the bread from. He told me that he never sold me a satisfaction guarantee, and told me to get lost. I don't have $500 to pay the hospital. What should I do?

I don't have much to do tonight.

Alex
