MY GReddy BOV works fine with no problems!!!

I put the GReddy on yesterday, its louder but i think with more boost it will have the true GReddy S sound, right now its a louder version of our stock ones almost. RARELY and I mean RARELY if i floor it and then let off and put it in neutral it might stall but i just did that to see. Other than that no problems, it sounds good but i need my GReddy boost controller in for better sound and it looks fine. Dont forget if you want to just mount it with no flange to go to ATP and get this:

hopefully that works let me know if it doesnt.
Only other mods to date is the K&N. Just lettting you know i have no probelms and i guess some do, i did notice when i first put it on the fumes smelled a tad bit rich but i smell nothing now, nothing that would affect the car. Later

glad to hear it man. the reason why it might not be so loud is cause the diameter if the discharge hose, just a thought. anyway it's better than stock.

Just so you guys know- the reason the car stalls with an aftermarket BOV dumped outside (only advantage is sound BTW) is because the air blowing out has already been "counted" by the mass air sensor. If you dump the air out, it dumps too much fuel thinking the air is going into the motor and the car will load up and stall.. Not very good for response on a shift either- when you let off to shift, it dumps a bunch of fuel for a split second and is rich when you hit the gas again. If the car doesn't stall, it is because the BOV is too tight and not blowing off enough air to cause a rich condition and just blowing back through the turbo- which defeats the purpose of a BOV anyway...

Just food for thought...
Joe
PS- It does sound cool though :).

Whats the story on the HKS Sequential BOV? Is it better than the greedy (thats what i've been hearing) any thoughts? Thx

Guys, check out this link. It'll show you how to do a Dual BOV/BPV setup. This setup will keep you from stalling, and won't cost much more than a single BOV. You can do this on stock pipes as well. I did, just look for the link in the first post. I use an HKS SSQV, and I love it. Also, GotBoost02 did the stock pipe BOV/BPV setup with a Greddy and it worked great as well. Search and you'll find his thread. The only difference I can tell is that the HKS is higher pitched (think air compressor) and the Greddy is more "volumous" (think truck air brakes). They are pretty similar though, I don't know if I could tell the difference in a blindfold test.

By the way, adding a BOV is NOT just for the sound, it eliminates the compressor surge that becomes more audible when you put a CAI on your car. It's always been there, and it certainly isn't good for our turbos. I personally think the pshhhht sound gets annoying and would rather it shut up a bit, but I can't stand the turkey and I think it causes undue turbo wear.
