Well as you all read in the Mazdaspeed thread, my MSP is gone but i took a great picture of it being carried away to its resting spot. It was a sad moment but funny to see it carried away on a fork lift. Oh well.....makes a great post card!

did you get to strip the car for parts at all? When a car gets totaled.. and insurance pays for it, where do they put the cars? Do they part the cars out themselves, or do the parts just go to waste? I've always wondered this..

Alot of times, the cars actually goto auction, and junk yard owners will bid on them. IF the car can be salvaged, and repaired, you find them on Ebay, or in the papers. If not, they will part the car out.

do you have more pics of the damage to the car..

like the front and rear damage...

what was all damaged in the accident..

just curious b/c im in your same situation right now

Ah...that sucks! Looks like there is lots of good parts still. I wish I lived near that wrecker.
Wow. Really sucks to hear about the wrecked MSP.......

But for what it's worth, glad you're okay. The car doesn't look too bad from the side. Where are you from? Where is that car now? In all the pix, the rims look fine. I'm interested in the your fender badge.....

The only parts i was able to take from it was the stuff i put in such as....gauges, pods, speakers, turbo timer, and my CD's. Oh and when the insurance guy wasn't looking, I snagged the shift knob.....shhh. But as far as the rims they were all in good condition.

Can you post the name and location of the junkyard the car is at?

The car is located in El Paso which is the last city far west in Texas. I do not know the name of the place but its located east on Interstate 10 just past Exit 0. If ur familiar with this area, its just a few miles east of Wet n Wild Waterworld Park. I'll see if i can get better directions or a map of it and post it soon.
