Ignore the filthiness. I haven't washed it in about 8 months. I did clean the brake dust off the wheels while they were off the car.

Oh damn. I forgot about this one....

Status?

She sprung an exhaust leak...I guess the oil leaks were getting lonely. I'll be taking a look at it tomorrow. As soon as I make sure she will hold up for a few weeks the Pro5 goes back under the knife.

how is the first gen doing?

Sitting comfortably out of the way at the moment. My Dad said he found a bullet hole in the back of it the other day. Rock on.

Nice! Now you don't need the faux version. "It's fo' real yo!"

DUDE! My first Car(which was my last car) and first Mazda was a 323 wagon! lol I bought it for a $1000 with 90000 miles on it. When I traded it it in for my 03 Protege 5 it had around 250,000 miles on it! lol Needless to say I only got around $100 bucks for it on the trade in. lol But anywho I loved and hated that car, very much a love hate relationship. I probably spent around $3000(new engine, clutch, brakes all around, several mufflers, distributer caps, and many many morer parts) or more on that car keeping it running. I had it all the way through high school and college. Sigh... good times. lol That car made me the mazdaholic that I am today. I will try and see if I can dig up some pictures of her.

Ye ole stationwagon got some repair work done today. No more exhaust leak. Windshield wipers and cooling fan work now. I even had time to repaint the wiper stalks.

seing this really make me miss my 84'(B11) sentra. although it had slighty more rust.

New project for this week. The rear wheel bearings are pretty much dead. I'll be pulling the spindles off in the next two days to press in some new bearings.

I rewired my cooling fan to it's own switch in the dash today. 1 step forward...2 steps back.

Yep the wheel bearings where yet another thing I had to replace on my 323 wagon when I had it. Keep up the updates. Do you have any mod plans for this car? lol I would like to see one of these fully modded.

The motor needs to be rebuilt or replaced very soon. Depending on how much money I have at the time it will either get the B6E DOHC motor from the Capri or maybe the GTX motor if I'm lucky. I just don't feel like rebuilding the B6 is worht the effort. I keep an eye out at junkyards prety regularly for any upgrades since mine is the base model with power nothing.

Well...a disappointing update to my little beater wagon. She is down again, but hopefully not out. I recently replaced all the wheel bearings and afterwards she was a joy to drive again. I had to drive her a lot yesterday due to running errands from one town to another and needing the space to haul some wheels. She turned over 299,800 miles yesterday...right before the wheel fell off. Yes...thats right....45 mph... luckily going in a straight line the rear stub axle sheared in half and the driver's rear wheel detached from the vehicle. It was actually quite comical and surreal as it was happening. I heard the crunch and felt the rear get all wonky...then the back of the car dropped and started dragging. I looked out the window beside me as the rear wheel and hub went by at about 40mph and bounced about 50 yards through this nice couples yard. My friend and I were laughing hysterically as we pulled off the road and went to retrieve the wheel. The car is on the trailer right now as I hunt down another rear spindle and bearing. If only there was a video of it...it would be youtube gold.
