Mud Flaps dont' work

I put the factory mudflaps on to make sure I protected the paint on the doors from chips. Well, last weekend we had our first snow and they put cinders on the road. I drove 20 miles in it. Now the paint at the bottom of the doors is so peppered with paint chips it looks frosted white. In only 20 miles! My toyota supra wouldn't have that many in 10 years, nor would my Magnum, or any other car I've ever had. I'm going to get this covered under warranty eventhough it does not cover stone chips. The intent of the warranty is for a reasonanble amount of chips over a period of time. This is Extremely excessive which wuld be classified as a defect in either fender, door, or mudflap design. So if you want to save your paint and not go through this, add some big extenders to those front mudflaps!
Mazda warrantied a repaint of the bottom portion of doors. Looks as good as new! Put on clear gaurd and big mud flaps.

Yeah, the front mudflaps do nothing. I keep considering emailing/calling Mazda to put in a complaint, but I will probably just wait until someone makes an aftermarket one that is shaped similar to the rear flap, it works fine in my opinion.

The front one just isn't big enough/doesn't go up high enough in the wheel well. It's kind of ridiculous, I can get mud/road debris/etc on my back doors from my front wheels because the mud flap does nothing! Did you actually go talk to the dealer and they agreed to redo your paint? It hasn't snowed here yet/nothing has been put on the roads, but I am wary of what is going to happen this winter. Even in regular rain, the doors get peppered with whatever is on the road. Usually after a wet day my doors are covered in black speckles of road grime.

Yes, I went to dealer who contacted Mazda, who said they would cover repaint, either whole doors, or just bottom portion. I chose bottom portion as that line is a great cut off point.
Put on the mudflaps and clear gaurd for extra protection in case mudflaps didn't do a good enough job.

Based on his name I'd say Utah... Alta's a ski town... great conditions light powdery Utah snow. I'm jealous of you for having it snow already. I'm here in NY and as much as I love the summer I can't wait for it to get cold and snow so I can get up on a mountain!

Mud Flaps

Its that time of year again. Get your mud flaps on before you lose paint. Or at least chip gaurd.(drinks)
