First off, read this.

Secondly, the flaming ends now. ANY post that has nothing to do with the original question answered or is negative towards a poster (unless poster asked for opinions) will be deleted.

t3ase, i agree.. seriously.. i asked if anybody wanted to sell their daveB rings and it started into a flame war.. in the fs (non-vendor) section.. u can close or w/e, delete.. just wanted some damn rings.. im pretty sure most of the ppl on this forum will back you along with all the other mods with enforcing the anti-flame "law" haha or w/e u call it.. If you're reffering to Joe P's post every retort (despite how uncommon it was) was relative to the topic. If you're talking language and comments then Joe P's comments stereotyping MSP owners is just as much a flame as any.

You can run the board however you please but unpopular ideas don't initially mean it's a flame.

I think tease is talking about pretty much every thread that gets started these days...too many to state them all. and thank you for this tease...thank you so much for taking action. YOU RULE. also, i like the subcategory thing, and I voted so. You're an asweome mod.

I think flaming is unneccessary on all levels but at times lately the uncommon opinion has automaticly been the flamer and not the flamee

Actually, he specificially said multiple times that it was not *every* MSP owner, just a select few. You then turned that in to "every MSP owner" for your own good.

Sorry to say it but you *do* have a record of walking over your own toes at times. Maybe you should take your own advice.

Regardless, in the future, any posts will be deleted once I get around.

MrDiggler: n00b question... What does AGR stand for?

So let me get this straight.....flame-wars out????? But noob bashing is OK?
Or maybe thats a joke between the 2 of you dudes and I'm wrong.

Noob bashing is ALWAYS OK.

(j/k)

No really, it shouldn't be an issue, if someone has a question they should be able to ask it here without fear of being flamed no matter their post count (which is meaningless anyways). But someone who doesn't search for the question first is likely to be told to search for it, and a lot of times it's done nicely. Sometimes it's not, but a lot of times, people are told POLITELY that this question has been asked, and that running a search will find you the answer you need. People do this to minimize the number of duplicate or near-duplicate threads. The idea is, that the newbie will search for his answer, find it, and then delete his original post.

But then, after being told to search, a lot of times, the newbie comes back and starts talking trash! And then they complain when they get flamed.

Yes, flaming shouldn't be happening here, but not everyone has the patience to deal with some of the people on these boards. Flaming is an unfortunate part of ANY message board, so there's only 2 main ways to reduce it:

1. Ignore it. Be the better person and don't flame back. This will never happen, so:
2. Delete it. Have the mods delete either the entire thread, or the specific posts that are derogatory. It's starting to be done by the mods, especially t3ase.

I don't really see much n00b bashing, it's really only once in a while, and it's usually a joke, and noted so. I do agree that the falming on here is absolouty rediculous. and it's great to see action being taken. The n00b asking what does AGR stand for, was just hilarious, and the person wasn't even that new of a person, it was just plain old hilarity.

I agree with Pkay, JoeP just likes the sound of his own voice, or type ... ya know what I mean.

ALL my customers face the same delays and get the same shipping etstimations from time to time and only the MSP people give me a hard time about it.

Direct quote from JoeP.

Joe was saying that all of his customers (all cars not just MSP) get delayed shipments, and the same level of communication. But the majority of people complaining are MSP owners.

I think maybe the MSP customers are the only ones that get pissed when an item doesnt arrive when it was said it was going to.

I'd be pissed too. Also, it's aliiiiiiiiiiiiittle hard to believe that MSP owners are the only ones that have ever had something go wrong. Thats a little too biased of an answer for me. I just think someone is trying to cover their ass by coming on and posting that thread (drama queen).
