MSP Video Now Up at Maximonline.com

Maxim Magazine has now opened up their "Lounge". It has the video from their testing of the MSP, where they named it Speed Demon of the Year. I can't get the sound to work but there is some nice video work. Nice burnout done by NASCAR driver, Elliot Sadler. Great shot of the interior. The paint looks amazing as well.

The only catch is you have to be member/subscriber in order to get into the lounge. the address is www.maximonline.com.

This is a streaming video from their site. I am pretty sure there is no way to save it to my harddrive. If there is, then let me know.

I got my sound to work and they Elliot was saying he didn't think the chassis was a real performance chassis. He is probably comparing it to the cars he drives and the other highend cars he was driving that day. He loved the car and the steering.

You guys should just subscribe to Maxim. It is a great mag and inexpensive. ;)

Don't listen to Elliot...he's an idoit...the nicer of the two brothers, i will say that. i still wouldn't put much faith in his opnions...and this is from personal experience, their father herman owned the dealership i worked for, which both elliot and hermie came to off and on.

No problem here if someone can figure out how to get it.

There is one way to cheat. You'll need a video card with tv out/in though. And a VCR. You can output it to your tv/vcr, as fullscreen if possible. And then, capture it from the vcr back into the computer as mpeg or avi. You'll loose some quality, but it's possible. If you had to computers with capture cards, you can plug one into the other and capture it without quality loss.

There's got to be an easier way though. Once it's all downloaded you can't save it ?

cant you check temp internet files for all .ram if its real or .asf if its asf, sort by modified date and find the one modified 30 seconds ago type thing? then copy it out and rename it

or you might be able to bookmark the page and make it available offline, in which case it will download all the media associated with the page so that when u are disconnected you can still view it

Being a subscriber has its privileges.;) Not too much too see though. An okay burnout and a nascar redneck (Elliot Sadler) talking about an import.
Elliott says: Its a front-wheel-drive car built for everyday use, but it can probably take a lot of abuse. Not a real firm racing chassis. But the steering and throttle are pretty good. Neat car.

everytime i try to whach it i just hears sounds and then changes pictures its soo gay , but you can hear the engine real good

It seems like a Motor Trend review: Eliot rates the cars on how much rubber they can lay and little else. I'm not surprised he doesn't mention how well the MSP handles, all he knows is "left".

well, I got the file on my machine....just got to compress it. It's like 300 megs now.

I got it at 320x240 and 640x480...but, for some reason the damn 640x480 pays at like twice the speed.

And for the bad news........ there's no sound.

I'll get it up on the ftp some time soon.

man that "review" sucked it....

"yeah"..."it was good"...."not a racing chassis.."....."nice car"

THE END.

After having watched that video....elliot give us virginian's a bad rep....decent pics of the speed but thats about it. If you like burnout's check the cobra svt.

ftp is up

username msp
password msp123

all lowercase.

Note, get the SMALL video's. The one that is 640x480 plays way to fast for some reason. If I can still log on to maxim tomorrow, I'll try recapturing it and getting a better picture.

Again, BEHAVE! Everything is logged.
