MSP Sub?

I like the fact that i can still fit two sets of golf clubs under the sub and amp, but if you are really lookin for good quality sound they will have to be moved. Another suggestion is a set of kicker competitions. my buddy had a set of tens in a portted box sounded hella good in his comaro/neon/mustang. so they are pretty versitile.

Well for me (someone who is not looking to win any decebel competitions anytime soon) I think the sub is great. As well as the 6 speakers in the car they sound alot better than the MP3.

You really think the only 2 levels of subwoofers is DB competition and the 8" sub that came with the MSP?

Read what I said. I dont care about copetitions I just want a good stereo and that is what is in the MSP.

I care more about performance and eventually I will probley have the stereo taken out to save weight.

Thats the problem, the MSP stereo is by not means dedent in my eyes. Its a glorified, factroy option. Mazda Gets abunch of discontinued items dirt cheap and throuw them in the car. The only thing worth a damn is the head unit.

Although I wil admit I am amazingly basis. I would think entry level base as a small low powered 10" sub, not an inaudible, until its distorting crappy 8".

Whatever man I am not looking to go deaf. Just to hear the music I want not to have everyone else hear it as I drive through the neighborhood. I would rather get performance products not stereo speakers.

JMS's mp3 I toltaly understand were your coming from. I think that the radio and speakers are good as a collective unit, but some of us feel that you can get so much more than there is avialible right now. that does not mean that i am going to go out and spend 3 thousand dollars and blow my ears out, I listen to alot of rap and r&b so the bass is pretty important to the sound of the system, and right now it is kinnda weak. thats all my opinion i guess.

So, how do you find the Speed vs the MP3? Not just the stereo, I mean the whole car. You've lived with it for a while now, so any regrets?

And, you find the sub better then the MP3?? I found that it was just louder, and that it never hit as low as I'd want. I don't care about loudness, I want a nice good deep base that rattles the belly even at low volumes. And I'm not the type that wants everyone to hear what I'm playing either.....I think that is so lame.

hehe.....thats one of the criteria for the sub(s) I will be adding to my car :)

All of you guys thus far our describing the sound typicaly produced from a decent($100) 10" sealed subwoofer with 100 watts rms powing it.

Sir Nuke has this exact setup, just ask him he loves it! He got an amp to power all of this internal speaker and sub, the sub box, the sub and the wiring for aroud $500.

That system or even just the sub with a mono amp will not let the world know what you have nor will you go def. It will add clarity and impact to the sub bass and lower bass region of sound where the crummy 8" in the MSP just can't handle.

There are to mehtods of producing sound, sound quality and SPL. Even the best SQ system that have over $20,000 invested don
t break 130 db, which any knucklehead with $1500 and a hatch back can do. They aren't ment to be loud nor is the equipment I have reccomanded.
