MSP or ITR(Integra Type-R)

And with the money you'd spend on either car, the ITR would still be on top. you could run the same turbo set up in each car and the MSP wouldn't compare up to the ITR.

OR, You could just go buy an STi and kill both cars

Peace

Well, considering an ITR is roughly just as fast as an MSP in a straight line, obviously a turbocharged ITR is going to be much faster! The point is that ITRs don't come with a factory turbo setup, MSPs do.

And way to state the obvious, a $30k+ STi is going to outperform a n/a FWD Honda and a turbocharged FWD Protege. I would hope the STi would kill both cars considering they cost twice as much.

i dont think it would be THAT much faster...you would have to turn down the compression on the ITR to run turbo

You gotta be careful with the integra, my boy got his stolen, i caught a guy parkin his car get out and walk near my integra while i was walking to it he said this your car i was like yeah he ran back to his car and peeled the **** outta there. My boy's Si got broken into. Point is alot of people look for these types of cars because alot of the parts are so interchangable with other honda models, Thats one the reason i got rid of my integra because its a target and you never feel safe wherever you park it. So take that into consideration. YOu really don't have to worry about that with the MSP. THe way to go for a ITR is a super charger anyways :).

The MSP is a reat car if all you plan to do is suspension etc. Tuning it is a pain in the ass, but one and never open the hood unless you plan to change the oil.

I fail to see this as a negative. Also keep in mind the ITR lighter than the msp and handles just as well.

I was not refering to the excellent Honda engineering as a negative for the car, I was just stating the difference in engines between the two cars. Im glad you agree. (thumb)

Ahh I see, I just misunderstood. :)

No you wouldn't, you would just have to have a good tune and low boost. Or a bad tune, low boost, and race gas, or a good tune, more boost, and race gas. Or high boost, bad tune, pump gas, and a blown motor.

With high compression, you get better boost response and more horsepower per psi. Something to consider. But I would much rather own a factory turbocharged vehicle than one ment for high n/a horsepower.

ok if someone said this already oh well but heres my take.

someone sees a itr drive into [insert import hang out here] people are like damnnn that thing is sweet

someone sees a msp drive into a [insert import hang out here] people are like WTF is that? wait, no thats not an evo, that things sweet.

needless to say, everyone knows an integra, msps are still more rare in my opinion, itrs are every other integra with a wing appearance-wise. and if you aren't going to have the money to add forced induction to your itr, more gains will be seen in your msp mods.

ok get an integra then when it gets jacked take the insurance money and buy a msp that way u get both cars

Well Im gonna get flamed but what the hell.

I think the ITR will get the nod everytime. If you put the same driver behind both cars the ITR will win. The car is almost flawless. Its popular for a reason. Sure its high on theft but you know what you are getting into when you buy the car. The market alone is almost enough to buy it you can mod the hell out of an ITR for a fraction of the cost of the MSP. I test drove a stock MSP and im not going to lie I wasnt to impressed. I think I just expected too much. The car is solid and different but the motor is sensitive and the market is way to far behind. But if they wouldve had a MSP in black when I purchased my P5 I would be in MSP today. Why.....cause of the four doors. I got a family and I cant stuff them in a ITR. Bottom line you cant go wrong with either car.
