Msp making Noise help

OK Today i notice a strange noise coming from under my hood, it only does it when my clutch is out, but it goes away when pressed in. I have a ACT street clutch and had it for about 30k miles now. Does anybody know what is going wrong here?????

Are you sure its not the limited slip diff they are notorious for blowing.

its more of a spining sound. its been doing it for about a year but now just got a lil louder and by the way this is my 2nd lsd

my car has been doing the same thing for a while now the dealership said it wasnt normal gave me a new clutch, still made the sound and called it normal.

hate to say it, but it is probably the bearings in the transmission

but it goes away completely when the clutch is in....I really dont know much about transmissions, but why would that make a difference?

Basically the clutch is what connects the engine to the transmission. When you're not pressing the clutch pedal, the clutch is stuck to the flywheel which causes the transmission to rotate with the engine.

When you push in the clutch pedal, the clutch separates from the flywheel which causes the transmission to stop rotating.

but if your in neutral the clutch isnt attached to the flywheel or else the car would stall when your stopped

and this happens when your stopped, in nuetral....it will be noticeable when the clutch it out in nuetral, but not when its in while in nuetral or any other gear

it makes noise when the clutch is out in neutral, either when the car is moving or not moving, doesnt matter....it goes away when the clutch is depressed

Ok, the car doesn't stall because the gears inside the transmission freewheel when the clutch is attached to the flywheel in neutral.

Ill have to have a shop check it out next time I get my clutch changed...which is probably gonna be soon

I'm actually having my trans serviced under warranty right now for this issue.
