MSP Insurance

430$ a month ???????????????????(boom06)

holy s***..

at that price i'd be buying a 1980 buick lesabre with a 400 CI

Yeah, a lot of people cancel their insurance there and drive without it. So that way everyone else has to pay for it. My girl friend still lives there and her insurance is 316 a month and she has a 04 civic dx auto.

but why is it so steep?

because there's a high incidence of loss in that area i would imagine. so it's either high crime, gets hit by hurricanes frequently, or there is some other characteristic about the drivers that causes them to file a lot of claims. could honestly be carryover from katrina.

Well i lived there before katrina, during, and after. My rates honestly did change due to the circumstances. The way multiple insurance companies explained it to me was this: Thousands of people get insurance and cancel it. So there is a ton of uninsured motorists driving around, in addition that there is an accident on every corner. The likely hood of you getting into some sort of accident with someone without insurance is too high. So they in turn charge for everyone elses lack of insurance. I'm sure that, crime, location, and other things play into effect too.

In Atlanta I was paying 5k a year. 19yo male with one ticket and one accident.

In Flagler Beach (FL) its 2500 a year. 20yo same s***.

Full coverage in both places.

And I wrecked (if you could call it that) a jeep, not the mazda thank god.

27, clean title, clean driving record, Farmer's Insurance: $1000 annually, full coverage + more. I think it's pretty fair considering California has high auto insurance rates. It's actually A LOT cheaper than Canadian insurance (I'm originally from Toronto, Ontario).

for me I had 2 accidents 2 seat belt tickets and 1 failure to yield ticket and I use to pay about 500 a month but I changed and now I pay 300 a month

I was paying 260 a month with 2 speeding tickets. a wreckless, a few accidents in other vehicles. now I changed the insurance to where its called "pleasure"? I cant drive with the car with this coverage, but if it catches on fire or something its covered
