A hater is someone who's all caught up in themselves and thinks that they are Gods gift to internet car forums and feels the need to prop themselves up by putting others who they don't deem to be as cool as them down. They also feel the need to call other people idiots and act shocked when people take it personally. Draw from that what you will my friend.

Hopefully when I'm 80 I will still be married to my wonderful wife, we'll have many kids and grand kids, I won't much have time to post on mazda forums anymore as I'll be kicking back and enjoying the golden years with a family that loves me and that I love. Thats my plan for when I become an old fart.

The egos of some of the people on this forum just crack me up. I don't really care if you agree or disagree with me on a given topic. All I ask is that you show me the same respect I show you and if you don't care for what I have to say, ignore me.

As for me. I'm only 23 so I got a whole lot of living to do. Now if you'll excuse me my wife and I are gunna go visit some friends and watch the Pats game. Have a great night folks.

Did anyone else start humming the golden girls theme song?

MSP=So much sexier than the SRT, better looking than the Cobalt, EVEN better looking than the Civic (any year). Evos and WRXs are good looking, IMO, but not near the eye-catcher that the MSP is.
MSP=Limited so it makes it (thus me, since it is MY car) so much more unique than so many other cars of this type.

Not sure if I'll ever sell it, but I know I love it, and don't plan on it. I have messed a little with the stock settings. I am one to believe, like many of the posts so far, that if u fuk with the stock settings too much you are asking for trouble, no matter what the car. These are just more sensitive to modding than some others.

This is that path that I have chosen. No, let me rephrase, this is the path that has been chosen for me. I have read a ton of zoom, zoom, boom threads, and they don't scare me. I sold my beater and this is my only car, and they still don't scare me. If I break, I walk my ass to work, save $$ and go forged, this is just the way it is for me.

Everybody snaps their neck to look at this car, young, old, men, women, and I tell you what, I can't blame 'em.

It's funny that the two people talking negatively about MSP's don't own one.

Somebody had to say it (peep)

not true. try reading dude. but honestly i dont see how people who don't own msps are even commenting here.

man that Pats are killing the Vikes. But anyways on topic I hope you're not referring to me when you talk about poeple who hate on the MSP. I happen to like them and think they are awesome little cars. I understand their limitations though and would never purchase one myself, but I got nothing but love for my MSP brothers and sisters.

personally i'm only buying proven cars in the future from proven manufacturers

What are you looking at or a next car?

Would you consider Mazda a proven manuacturer?

not as far as turboed cars. i mean the motors are better now and can handle it. but for my next car i'm looking at either an m3 or an sti, maybe Evo X. maybe a TL even. i'm not sure. i'm starting to lean away from the whole compact sport/mod crazy scene ( i know i just contradicted that by listing an sti or an evo), but i'm more into luxury now. definitely not automatic, but i'm a big fan of low cabin noise and no rattling and all that junk. i'm not much of a flasher but i just want something nice for myself.

I'm sort of in the same boat. After the P5 is payed off, I want something luxury but sporty. The only honda I'd be interested in would be a CL type S but I'm leaning towards a pontiac GTO but I'll probably have kids in a few years so maybe a net Gen mazda 6 depending on how it turns out.

i personally like the msp cause no one has one, since its super limited production(4,500 i think?), you don't see them often; i get compliments all the time and mines just lowered with tints and I keep it minty. It handles great and has some balls. I see it more as a daily driver if your gona mod it, not a drag car, and maby some auto-x, idk cause i dont auto-x. If you wana make power, your gona have to pay to play, people have to understand that; and especially on the msp, your gona shell out a decent amount.

Pay to play. But the pay off is a lot bigger in the end when you do take the time and get things done right.

because we are not as biased maybe? i said i like the msp and i do. i almost bought one, but the reason i didnt was the dinky rods. Having weak rods like that is a BIG mistake, no matter what you beleive. having people blow motors stock is just rediculous. the lsd thing is kinda whatever because design flaws like that happen on alot of cars, but if you snap a rod, you can cause major damage and have well over 2k in repair work on your hands and if you don't do the work yourself it can be even more. it is rare that it will happen this i know, but i just wouldn't be able to deal with worrying about it everytime i ran the car real hard.

Thank God for your sake you don't have to worry about all of the limitations of the MSP as you see them. You might want to try stangnet.com, as its a Mustang forum and has its own V6 section. If I were you, I'd be more worried about extracting more usuable HP from that tunable cai. Maybe a 93 octane tune will let you break in to the 13's.

It's this kind of pettiness that makes me think that some MSP drivers are no different from some numb-skull SRT4 drivers. The man respectfully makes a point and you talk trash about his car. I don't think it's wise to talk trash about a car that will beat yours stock for stock. And at least his stangs motor won't detonate if you look at it funny. Look no one is saying that the MSP sucks. Personally I go all gaga anytime I see one as they are rare in my area and the look so nice. But that does not change the fact that the cars got some issues. So back off the guy and defend your position without resorting to silly car bashing. For example say something like the mustang has a rental car quality interior(peep)

lol again...

I'll behave this time..

ready?

Stock for stock a 6 cyl mustang is going to beat a msp how? stock for stock the run the same QM times. Aslo... msps are NOT drag cars. Im pretty sure if they took it to a track the msp would have little to ZERO problems.

Since DAWIV poked fun at the V6 mustangs quarter mile times, I think it's legit to poke fun at the MSPs. I'm sure an MSP would beat a stang around the track also. It would depend on the track though.

Also I'm having trouble finding what both cars run in the quarter mile. Anyone have those numbers from a reliable source?

My main point is this:

MSP Drivers should should not act like juvenile SRT-4 Drivers. We are a better community and are more sensible than that. Even though I drive a P5, it's all the protege community.

To you Donas, STFU! Do you know anything about the cai he is using? I do and it has several different tune options. Clearly he is interested in straight line performance with the addition of 4.10's and a locker.

I do not need to defend the MSP to you or any other person that has issues with it. I love mine, which is why I bought it. My car has no issues. I am a member of the very forum that I suggested he look in to. Again STFU you self-righteous idiot.
