Silver 2002 Mazda Protege LX
I have an 02 protege LX with a MSP bumper (not buddyclub2). It came directly off of a MSP. I fits pretty good except for under the headlight. I havent gotten a chance to take a good look under there. But the hole for the bolt that goes under the headlight is showing on both sides, (worse on passenger side). I cant figure out where to bolt it onto. When I say under the headlight, its more like on the side of the headlight. Can anyone tell me how this is suppose to connect? Thanks in advance..

I think I figured out that the hole you see in the pic is supposed to clip onto something under the headlight. The bolt that goes through the headlight and onto the frame is not there because that part of the frame is not aligned right, which effects everything else. So Im probably gonna have to get that right, then use some kind of glue to strengthen all the bolt holes so they dont tear off. If that doesn't work then Im left with no choice but to get a new bumper.

Yea thats what I figured out, the problem is the weight distrubion which causes it to kinda sag a bit.

look up in there it just pushes inbetween two peices and the bottom one has a nub that it goes over

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm having the exact same problem. So there's a nub, but no screws required? Do you have to remove the headlight to get it aligned?

no screws is correct. I ended switching to an older bumper after scraping it on a curb. Check the screw below it. Its on the horizontal section where the front bumper connects to the fender. not the screw right on the wheel well, the one closer to the front, kinda right before it curves upward. My current problem is the bolt that goes there is stripped. I think this is a load bearing bolt. You can see the where the bolt in question goes. you have to screw it in and out through the wheel well or the bottom. Hopefully you can figure out which one im talking about.
