msp build parts (preview!!....:)

Why cant some guys on here go over there and help him build the motor. Im sure in that way there will be no short cuts and ur car will be more reliable. Thats so ****** up that u needed to go through all this s*** over and over. I give u props for sticking with it. Still my favorite black msp on the board.

lol, if I were local I'd help out for sure....no one around here besides me is into this serious of work lol, I'd love to help out with a project like this besides working on my own project (less I drive to so-cal)

Its horrible that shops these days are such BS. Glad to hear your staying with it, your really are a true MSP owner.(first)

Hang in there bro...

crankwalked the motor and spun the 1st bearing. My guess is the motor wasn't balanced properly at the machine shop and once we started to make some decent power it couldn't take it. Thanks god I didn't pay the guy a cent!
I found a used longblock for really cheap today, picking it up tomorrow morning and swapping motors.
Don't worry guys, even though when I realized the motor was trashed last night and it felt as if someone dropped a car battery on my sack, I'm not going to give up on this car. I've come to far and would regret giving up now.
I wish I could give you guys some awesome hp numbers, I know if the motor was fine the car would have ripped hardcore, but sadly here I am again with another garbage motor.
Word of advice, don't believe everything that you see or hear, good machinist are hard to come by these days. I've come across people in the business who are just interested at making a quick buck.
Alright thats it for me

NUTS dude.. sucks.. i thought only DSMs had that..lol..j/p.. well.. at LEAST you're hangin in there.. like me!

go you. more pics..punch the guy that built it.. video of that.

change of plans! The car is getting picked up today and shipped down to TBK and will be there by tomorrow morning.
Plans are as of now to take everything apart, do a rebuild (with brand new crank and bearings) and have it back on the road next week. If everything works out I should be back on the dyno next week to get some numbers for Rich's intake manifold.

Good stuff! Make sure they check that block out really good. I'm sure they will, I hear good stuff about TBK

lol. that's better.. are you paying to rebuild this thing again?

well luckily i didn't pay for this motor that just blew. The guy that built it for me I've been friends with for 5 years now. When I got back from my dad's place in december the car was finished and immediately sent down to manuel to install the haltech. I told him i would square my bill with him when i got back to south florida, he agreed. So, to make a long story short, I haven't paid him a cent and never will. I called him right after the motor blew to tell him the bad news. He asked me if I wanted him to rebuild it and I said nOPE!!
Its funny how things tend to work out in the end, but I'm not going to be 100% satisfied until the car is running good and can take more than 7psi of boost..lol

Yes sir!
Once manuel tears apart the block he is going to call me and give me a time frame. His built motor in his protege has been going strong for nearly 3 years now and is driven daily at 18psi and 29psi at the track on a GT35R. I hope this is a testament to how well he knows this car and the quality work he puts into each motor.

Omg dude.....Im not sure what I would have done if that happened to me. There truly is a unique connection between MSP's and there owners. My good friend Maurice (discreetspeed) went through the exact same thing with his forged build, and decided to stick with it and rebuild once again. He just couldnt seem to let go.....Kudos to you my friend (thumb)

TBK worked on that msp in spain and it has put down some great numbers on the dyno. they did not build the block but they did do the head and all the other stuff.

Dude I even told you I'll drive to help you work on your car and that's a 5+ hr drive. I would help out too. Like Neox says way to many people are afraid to even get dirty checking their own oil. It's sad.

TBK Performance is one of the best Shops i've seen and been, Manuel is a great Professional and he really knows what's going on, He didn't build my engine, ALEJO_NIN did it for me, but TBK took care of engine block and crankshaft cleaning, Honing and polishing and balancing, they did a great job if you ask me, after they did my big turbo Kit and Stage 3 all around head Job they replaced just for security my OEM mazda Bearings using this time Cleavite 77 all around. Since then my engine have been working and holding like a rock, I think this is the first MSP and FS-DE Engine to Produce and Hold Yet 474.8 whp at 25 P.S.I with a 3582R Turbo in a daily form so that says it all about TBK Performance, Even though we didn't ended up the way i wanted to be and broke relationship i most be a Gentleman and admit they are the best Shop to turn your Mazda into another different animal with guarantee is going to work good and hold what ever you trow at it from the first time. My only complain is the Insane amount of time they take to finish up a project, but if you ask me and if i have to go though all of the s*** i went through with them to have the car i have today i will do it again with my eyes closed. it has been well worth the money and time i have waited.

TBK Performance and Hiboost are simply the best shops to do your Hardcore and Hi Performance Modifications to basically any car but specially Mazda's...

so TBK Performance (Manuel Oviedo) get my vote and my respect even though we didn't ended with good relationship, but once again people makes mistakes and mistakes don't make others bad or worst persons when you really change and make changes for good.

Good Luck Sander i know Manuel will make your MSP a true Monster if you give him time..

My builder took 7 months to do mine. But thats because he does many Canadian Tire Nascar Series engines, and I decided to give him my engine in the off season. So he didn't have much time to do mine.
