MSM ECU swap?

Formula1

As the title questions. Does anyone think the new MSM ECU would?????

1. Be a direct replacement to the MSP i.e. Plug-right-in?

2. Improve the msp performance? (mapping be ok with the different displacement, our higher a/f ratio etc....)

3. (Most important) If all of the above is ok. Will it be more tuner friendly?

Just some questions, call me dumb if I have questioned something that would be literally impossible.

But, if it can be done, or you guys have some points to make, please do so...

By MSM you mean Mazdaspeed miata? If so, I SINCERELY doubt the car would even run. They're two completely different cars.

why wouldnt it work? some one would have to really look at them and try it out.
with honda's you can interchange ecu's.
ex. you can run a integra ecu in a prelude. you can also run a integra ecu in a civic.

Mazda doesn't quite have the interchagability Honda offered with their eariler models. The current Maita PCM doesn't work in the Protege, I dont' see any reason why the MSMiata will be any different.

cause they use the Same engines!!! (spank)

no, its that both the b and h-series motors have similar fuel and tming maps and parameters. simliar but not the same, thus the gains between different ecu's on the same motor.

well if thats the case and the current maitia wont interchange with the protege, then most likely the msm wont interchange with the msp.

civic's, interga's and prelude's dont have the same engines. their engine codes are different as long with their displacement...

definately wouldn't work...1.8L and a 2.0L, different compression, stroke, bore, timing...
