MS3 vs. SRT-4

Got a couple of friends in here who are arguing which one is faster stock for stock, the ms3 or srt4(dunno). need an answer. thanks

I have had both as well and would have to say the SRT-4 by the slightest of margins. I will say that so far the SRT can make WAY more power. Stock internals anyway. Now if we could just find the limits of the MS3...........

As far as straight line goes the srt is slightly faster, I had one and they just feel more like a straight line purpose built sort of car. And they're a couple years ahead of us in the modding game but we'll catch up eventually.

lol. I pulled up behind an SRT4 on the short ride home today and just got a little twang of competition in my gut. Man. I really love to for the first time have a car that's all my own, with some b@lls in it, and really look forward to modding it.

Oh yeah. And at some point, I'm gonna have to start learning to really drive. So I can use that car more to it's potential.

The srt for is faster than the ms3 stock for stock up till about 80 when they run out of gas, the td04lr cant breath that high all they have is low down grunt where it counts to be honest. I've also owned both cars, had my srt4 for three year when i got really tired of the traction issues.

I've raced one stock for stock and from 30 to 120 he had a fender on me. we did one from 50 to 120 and i had him up top and kept walking.

Sigh....I do miss my SRT and in a couple of years (when the price gets in the sub $10,000 range) will probably buy a wrecked one so I can gut it, build it, and leave just enough on it to be street legal. And really, as far as the Caliber goes, I don't think I could stomach being seen in one regardless of it's power potential. Why would you shrink a Durango and call it a sport compact? Anyway, as a daily driver, hands down the MS3 wins. Fit and finish is leaps and bounds beyond ANY SRT-4 new or old. Now that we are starting to see some actual power from our Mazdas, big turbo ain't too far off hopefully. (drive)

I also owned a 2004 SRT-4 before the speed3 and stock for stock it is definatly a drivers race. They will take you off the line every time but you'll catch themin the end. From a roll its who ever gets there foot to the floor first. As for racing a moded one, unless your heavily moded dont bother, you'll get walked bad.
