MS3 + Used Miata or S2000?

Thanks Super Unique, that's a great price as well.

Guys, don't get me wrong it's not like I don't think highly of the speed3 or that I'm not enjoying it. Also, it's not like I'm considering trading it in for a GTI, Cobalt ss, or anything in its category. I'm looking at cars that are in a different category all together. If I where in the market for sport compacts I wouldn't have even bothered making a thread because in my opinion the speed3 owns all (sport compacts). Plus, I’m just a little paranoid about the speed3’s future reliability, hence the reason for keeping it until the warranty is out, plus I don’t want to be upside down obviously. In summary, I don’t regret buying the car, I’m really enjoying it, but I don’t want to test how long it’s going to hold up.

No s***? That's awesome! I was thinking I would have to pay at least 34k for one.

So say I put 3k down and financed 27k for 60months@ 4.5%interest from credit union. Monthly payment would be about $500.00 / month. I can deal with that :)

Perhaps at even a more realistic 6.0%interest it would still only be $520.00 /month.

Dude, the internet is your friend :) :

Incentives on the S2000 right now are .9% financing for 24 and 36 months and 2.9% for 60 months. Lease special is $349 for 36 months/12k miles with $2,499 due at signing. I leased mine back in 2004 for $325 a month (+ tax) for 48 months, 60k miles. S2000's have high residual value. It was something like 54% for 48 months when I leased mine.

Invoice is $31,720 with destination, but I'm sure you can find one for under invoice. They're just not selling like they used to.

I know this is sorta off topic but I'm seriously considering the BMW 135i now as it starts at 35k.

How 'bout investing your disposable income in a yield-bearing account protected by a whole life policy so you can draw the funds at age 59 1/2 tax free?

Y'know, for the future, and all that jazz.

saw a red one the other night and it was awesome - actually the real thrill was hearing it. If I could afford it, I probly wouldve gone for one of those.

I think in 3 years when this car is paid off, I will take serious interest in a used 135i, very nice car but with all the fun options you would want with a bmw, the price is more like $40k. For that price, I'll wait a few years and get a used one at half the price.

Jbiird317 - Yes it's easy to go over board with the options. I'm going to get the stripped version which will be roughly 38k OTD but I'm going to put about 5-10k down so it wont hurt too much. However, if I can find a good used one like you say and save thousands I might just go that route. It's a sick little car! 0-60 in 4.7 secs! 1/4 in 13.3 @106 - Basically as fast as a EVO 9 without the bad ride and fugly styling.
