dude, mazda has been selling AWD cars for decades... just because we got practically none of them, doesn't mean they didn't build them! the ONLY reason why mitsubishi and subaru are selling good AWD cars now is because of their experiences with rally racing! guess what mazda stopped doing 12 years ago! why? 2 words: FORD and MONEY
go drive ALL of the older evos and wrx's that we never got, and you'll realize how bad their trannys were, and they only started selling them here after refining their cars (which wasn't the only reason why they started selling them here)

I gotta disagree. I'm an audio freak, but I think the MSP's stock sound system was plenty nice for most people, even serious music lovers. But there's something about Bose systems in cars that just makes me not like them, I think it has a lot to do with the fact that they sound like ass, but there are other reasons too. I've been in many cars with stock Bose systems, and the only one I would have in my car is that 1200 watt system the mustangs had a few years ago, that was decent. Now Bose home theater is a different story. They make great home theater stuff, but Sony does pretty decent in that department too, and they make some of, if now the, worst car audio stuff on the market.
Anyone know where the news that will be announced on the press days of the Geneva show will be found? Is there an official website or should we just keep a close eye on the auto columns/blogs?

I'm just taking a stab at it, but one reason they're probably going with Bose is because of reliability. How many MSP owners had to take their car in for warranty work with a blown sub or dead head unit? Every MSP owner I know in GA has had that problem. Bose has been making car stereo systems for years. So they know how to make something that won't break. That's my .02 about the stereo.

look, I never said "bose is teh win!!!!1111!!11".... in fact, I think MOST of the OEM bose installations SUCK ass... they're always lacking mids and too bassy..... so far I'm impressed with the mz3's bose system... I expected it to sound like all the other car bose systems I've heard before... in fact, I was worried about it before I got the car (didn't have a choice in the audio, you can ONLY get bose with the sp23)... but it sounds decent enough to be beyond my expectations on bose... there's still s*** lacking in it, and more to be desired, but it's GOOD ENOUGH
like I said, I don't want to waste money on replacing car audio s*** to make the car a theft magnet just so I can get "perfect audio"..... no such thing in a car environment anyway because of the bad accoustic environment, and TONS of external noises
as I said before, if you haven't heard of the 3's bose system yet, don't be so quick to pass it off as "s***"!
