MPI Tuner Anyone?

i still cant find a price for just the monitor. i must have completely missed where you posted a link with a price.

To take full advantage of the Knock Alert, an MSD Adjustable Timing Control should be used. This way, when the Alert is showing detonation, you can simply retard the timing with the dash mounted control knob of the Timing Control until the Alert shows that the detonation is gone.

For example, as you're driving through the mountains and the Alert light all of a sudden shows heavy detonation you simply reach over and retard the timing until the Alert shows that it is safe. This way, you don't have to slow down to a snail's pace or worry about hurting the engine. When you get over the peak, you can return the timing to the factory
setting for more power and economy!

For all this, the added cost of the J&S is worth it....

I was thinkin instead of gettin a wide band to just invest in a J&S unti. This way i have the best of both worlds..and still 1k cheaper than AEM. LOL

Well, I went for a ride today in my car (with ****** up transaxle), and was able to boost nicely in 1st, 2nd, and 4th gears (I have to skip 3rd). It was good to drive my car again after driving the gas-guzzling B3000 V6 truck.

Yeah, it seems that 3rd is gone. I'm gonna also go ahead and order a new ACT clutch disc. My current one is pretty old (2 1/2 years), and last time I looked at it, it showed some wear. Don't worry folks, I'm also getting new pilot and throw out bearings. $140 shipped from Corksport. Ken (CaptainKRM5), can you beat that price and get it to me in less than a week?
 
just a quick thought ...... after 41 pages(or 20 depending on your viewing) how legitimate is this thread really? ;)

no, it was stock i believe with just the tuner, injectors, Greddy BOV, and MAYBE exhaust
 
Not sure if this has been answered in another thread

Just finished reading through the 40+ pages of this post. I have a couple of questions. The MPI cannot control Boost and the additional injectors at the same time, correct? So if I were to wire up this "Switch" (That comes with the MPI turner), to switch between Map A and Map B; and lets say map A was tuned respectively for its own Fuel and Ignition curves for stock boost (6 psi for example) and map B was tuned respectively with its own Fuel and Ignition curves for let say 12 psi. I would also need to have some sort of electronic boost controller and hit the "Hi boost" switch on the EBC when I switched maps from A to B in order to take full advantage of Map B tune, correct?

Is this clear? Or am I confusing everybody ready this (crazy)

And the other question is.... is the switch mechanical like a sort of after market fog light switch or is it a switch I will have to activate via the laptop?
