It can be done with the coil. You can by-pass the coils and run then stock.igdrasil said:Does the MPI Tunner has a switch to....turn the piggy off and continue using the stock ECU? I guess not...

After getting some real good feed back and based on what I have seen. I can never see why you would not run the coils out of the MPI Tuner. You need to take timing out at higher boost.
Thanks again

It's not faster than mine...I have a westach probe. The probe determines the speed. I just have an Autometer gauge.igdrasil said:I meant it has a CPU and has a warning ligh plus a ground feature, It is faster than the Autometer EGT.
You could have put it in (or close to) the collector, or in any one of the runners. Either way, you'd have a more accurate reading than after the turbo.I would do anything to put it before the turbo, but my Spool manifold doesnt have a place to put it that could monitor all 4 runners.
I really don't watch the software one ever, since it's a waste of my time, but i've seen it over a full point off quite frequently.Bigg Tim said:Kooldino, I was referring to the battery or something the like. Just trying to help with suggestions.![]()
How much of a difference do you see between the softwares A/F and your WB? If the software reads 12.1, what does your WB read? I'd like to know how "off" the stock one is.
If it was such a massive leak, then why did i notice zero difference? I've had tiny leaks in the past and have noticed big differences when fixed.MPNick said:If you take a look at the valve cover breather you will see that it gets feed right from the PCV valve. You cannot get any bigger leak then that.
Yup, I've seen things like that happen. But never with the breather valve. There are tons of guys on this site with a breather valve running with no prblems. The amount of air in the crank case is far less than the amount of air going in the intake manifold...so a leak in the crank case vent won't have nearly the same effect as a leak in say...an intake pipe. Day and night.I do not think you understand how the breather system works. I had Shannon M install our turbo system and MPI Tuner on his car and he had all kinds of problems. From not starting right to sometimes stalling. After a few e-mails and phone calls he found that one of his small vacuum hose had come off of the barb fitting. He reinstalled it and no more problems.
Yep.This may not be the problem with your car. But you have more then a few things to check out in order to find your problem.
Yeah, i've thought about doing this. I might do it sometime, it'd be handy.igdrasil said:The idea is just to diagnose problems. It was just a thought.
When it is warmer you need less fuel to start. You batter does not need as many cold crank amps.paulmp3 said:BTW... i havent had any start up problems in the past week or so. I think the warmer weather is definilty helping.
Cold start on cold days is something like 10.1 AFR. 15.5 will not start the car that well on cold days.Kooldino said:So it'd run let's say...15.5:1 AFR. That's still plenty fuel to start the car.
Please e-mail me if anyone needs the new updated MPI Tuner software. It has better datalogging and it also has new calibration for reading boost load along with better fuel under boost load in closed loop. We also have the new launch control worked out. The launch control can be added to any of the older system. We also updated the user manual. If anyone would like copy of them please e-mail me at mp23cc@aol.comigdrasil said:NIck:

Save your money. I will not send it to you. I will send the PDF file to you.paulmp3 said:email sent!! hook me up with the new s***Also i read in another post that there is a mpi tuner manual, i never recieved this. Can you mail this to me? i will send a self adressed envelope if needed.

It is what you asked for! Did you already forget?igdrasil said:What is that "launch control" all about?
Can you elaborate it a bit for me?
igdrasil said:Nick, how much timing your unit can retard.
Can I do enough retard with a switch to spool up the turbo in neutral?

You will turn on the launch control system and keep the clutch all the way down to the floor. Then you can floor the throttle all the way down and watch the boost build as the flames blow out the tailpipe.igdrasil said:What is that "launch control" all about?
