MPI Tuner Anyone?

You will turn on the launch control system and keep the clutch all the way down to the floor. Then you can floor the throttle all the way down and watch the boost build as the flames blow out the tailpipe.

Thanks again

Do you know how launch control works? How do you detonate with 15 or more degrees of timing taken out for launch control? Please ask any question that you may have on this thread. Please do not post statements about things that you do not understand on this thread.

Thanks again

Now if only we could get the time and intelligence back that we lost by reading his crap posts last night!

As far as this thread goes. . .MPNick. When will this be available for testing?

The time is getting near. We have a real working product so we are not waiting for codes to be done or boards to be made. I hope to have the units tested and shipped out by next week. I know both you and Big Tim been waiting for a while on the turbo module. If I run short on units I will backorder Tims.

Thanks again

Yeah well, send me details...is it a module or is it a software thing with a button or something?
Yes it is all four. You press a button that triggers unit in the module and then you program the software and it is something.

Thanks again

WTF!!!!! (huh) That cracked me up!;)

oooooooooooooo me intereeeeested!!!!! Nick, do I have to plan for a tuning day with youuu?

is it possible to add a rev limiter to the launch control system, like you can set it to 4.5 k and with the launch control system then it will go back to normal when you turn it off ?

This is a little off the course of the latest posts but still relevent to the system.

In this months turbo magazine, there is a 9 second 780whp buick grand national that has an extra injector setup before the TB. This just adds to the fact that the extra injectors work. If they were junk, then how can this car make that much power with them? I'm sure that they wouldn't of put these things on there if it just "puddles" the fuel in there like some people have said. Oh yeah, it is also running 34 PSI so that negates the low boost application only!

Just when I think I have it all under control I get asked about more. It is very hard to get the engine to rev out of control with all as much of the timing out as we pull. As for 4,500 I need to think about this a little more.

Thanks again

Good post. The Viper guys with their long manifold and runners also make run four extra injector. Two before each throttle body, they make over 1,200 hp.

Thanks again

Hahaha, I picked up this issue before comming into work tonight, and just read this minutes ago.

Man, this battle of the Nick's has created quite a few pages to this thread.(bicker) Dude...I want this MPI piggy back computer now! If I ready correctly, it controls air/fuel ratios, timing, boost...just about everything we need to keep our cars from stumbling, and it is about to be $575? I am all over it if it really does all that for that price. I was about to purchase a Greddy Profec B Spec II from my contact @ Greddy. If this computer controls it, with two different settings, and helps with the stumbling and makes the car run leaner, count me in! I am still afraid I won't know how to hook it up or properly calibrate it. However, if there is good support to help me work through that, put me down for one. I am in the works for selling some parts from my other car. Once those items are gone, I will have the funds for this MPI. Please email me or PM me with the breakdown I might have missed in the 20 some pages of this thread. I was trying to get the bottom line, but I think I lost it in all the arguments and confusion and resposts. Thank man, Nic (with no k) (wink)

Do you have those pics of the four extra injectors in the intake manifold Nick?

And could you send me a copy of the pdf manual to read?

Haha...wrong Nic dude...I think you want a Nick, see the difference? (scratch)
I am running a basically stock setup right now, and it sucks. I am here researching what I can do, because I have already had a blown engine and my car runs like a$$ right now. I have some engineer looking at it Wednesday, and that is my last attempt. If they can't get it running right then, I am making them buy it back, and I will just deal with a boring (performance-wise) Mazda 3, or I will leave the Ford family like I planned before I bought this car. I am not at all happy with the stumbling and screeching noises at about 3-4,000 RPMs. Not to mention, my engine still has a slight knocking even with an engine overhaul. I did not notice any difference with "the flash" either. Also, with the new engine, I can't seem to go WOT, the car hesitates so bad when you floor it, that it feels like the air and fuel mixtures are fighting one another. The car just seems like a big mess, nothing is working together right now. I also seem to be hitting fuel cut at times, not even full WOT, but when I get higher in the boost/RPM's. Does this make sense to anyone? Would the MPI cure this? If so, I truly will be selling my Cougar parts and getting this!
Thanks everyone!

Well, the Mazda Protege has nothing to do with the Ford family other than the ECU.

Mazda doesn't really have a whole lot in common really with anything Ford does. The Tribute and the B-Series trucks are about it right now, aside from the Duratec V-6 in the Mazda6.

Anyway, according to Nick (typo above) they have an MSP running this set up and it works great, I guess. I haven't seen any dynos on it, just some drag times he has posted.

As for the problems with your car, it sounds like yours slipped through the cracks...
