MP3 owners - where's the love?

The week before Christmas my neighbor hits my MP3, I can get it repaired - no a big deal. While visiting my parents in central Florida on Saturday, my friend and I ride in his car over to Best Buy. We saw anoher MP3 owner (who shall remain nameless for now). I went over to say hi. I saw a girl and 3 guys go over to the car. I ask who's is it, and tell them that I have one, too. It's the girl's car and she is talking on the cell phone. So I ask one of the guys how do they like it. As they get in the car and get ready to drive away the only words they say to me is to point at my friend's car and yell "better then that thing".

I have driven a MP3 and been on the message boards from day one, and I was yet to meet an owner until Saturday. I have seen a few parked around some times I've traveled but never seen an owner to go with it. Please tell me that you've have had some positive experiences. There are less than 1500 of us - can't we all just get along???

I know what you mean!! There is one other blue MP3 that I know of that lives around my area, a girl drives it and I think she's still in High School (not that that matters) but I see her every now and then and everytime all she does is give me a sort of mean look for some reason. At first I thought it might of been because I was waiving and she was trying to figure out if she knew me, but now I believe she just doesnt' know she has a rare car and I'm trying to just say HI to a fellow MP3!!! I still wave when I see her but I don't think she's grasped the concept yet. I still have yet to be able to talk to her, but I figure that time will come one day!

But then there it always this Blue MP3 I have yet to meet when I'm on my way to work. Always see him on the Fairfax County Parkway for those of you in Northern VA. Whenever we pass each other (going opposite directions)we're usually hanging out the window waving at each other! I will follow him one day, I swear!! Not even sure if he's on the forum or not. I guess I'll find out one way or another.

yea, of the 5 or so other mp3 owners i have met, 4 have been really cool. as for the other one, since i dont think they're on the forum. he really ******* cocky, and shouldn't have an mp3. since i was riding in my friends prelude when i saw him, went to talk, and he said something to the point of "my cars better than that thing you road up in" wtf. who cares.

thank god the other owners ive met are cool, and know their car. so props to portcity, nc_mp3, and aphat01mp3 (wherever he is now???)

Speaking of meeting mp3'ers there was one parked in franklin, VA last weekend at the bowling alley with NC tags and a First Team dealer sticker, anybody know if they're up here??

I know of 3 other MP3s in my area and I am the only ones on the boards. One time one dumb ass logged on just long enouhg to tell me he test drove my car and revved the hell out of it. Basic moron. One is driven by a young lass I think but I never seem to see her out of the car. another is owned by a girls husband I went to school with, we only had a class together.

Proteges in general are fairly scarce around here. Although I dig the girl at the local bank with a regular sedan.

It seems to me that most people who bought MP3s aren't really the car club or especially message board type because out of all the MP3s that should be in Toronto area, I have only seen maybe four people online. And most other MP3s I've seen on the streets drive pretty crazy too (before I had my MP3 I had a silver P5) .. I suppose just because they can.

ok i love my mp3 and think its badass and all but the mp3 isnt the fastest thing on wheels so everyone should quit action like it is just because there is only 1500.. oh BTW who has powdercoated yellow wheels on a blue mp3 and has been through chattanooga in the past week????

even though I don't have an MP3....I have met a few....some in my general area...(mp3girly) and even one from out of state when I was on vacation....(1stmp3innh)....I have met up with a few other 5 owners as well...and will meet up with more as I get the chance.....all the people I have met up with so far were/are really cool people.....sorry you had a bad experience....I look forward to meeting as many people from the board as I can....

Yeah where is the love....In June I went to myrtle Beach, SC. I saw this girl in ayellow MP3 at the gas station and was like wow cool. I pulled up next to her and said something corny like, "hey nice car." and she said something like yeah isn't it prettier than your blue one!":wtf: thats messed up

Yeah, I hung out a little with Portcitymp3 while he was putting on his turbo, I hang out with MP3skater up in Wilmington alot, I talked to D'sMP3 a little, I met a few more MP3 owners, all have been really cool.

I can be a dick if you piss me off or you are an idiot or think you know it all or something, but generally I am cool

PS: Don't know for sure, but I think NC has alot more MP3's than alot of other states. Need to check on that

MP3-owner, let me know of some time that's good for you. I only have a short shifter/bushings installed, but I'd like to see what you've done.

It's nice to hear that not all owners are dorks. The thing that got me was that she had a personalized license plate that had her name followed by "MP3". So she knew what she had. I think the boys with her were still in high school, not that the age but that the maturity matters.

From what y'all have said, I kinda wonder if the same girl is just driving around the country pissing off MP3 owners?

Not much love here in Bay Area, California...yet.

Met up with a yellow one at the stop light of an intersection, almost identical to mine except I have a bug deflector, and minor cosmetic stuff on the exterior. I was like 'Coool!', so I flashes him with my headlights a couple times to say 'Hi', and I can tell he sees me too. But all I get is a blank stare from his end, as if I am a weirdo of some sort. I guess not all MP3 owners are as cool as we thought. Or they just don't know what they are driving. I find much more love on this board

However, about a month ago when I was driving in San Francisco Chinatown, another Chinese guy drove by in a yellow P5 from the opposite direction. As we pass each other, our cars are like 10 feet away. His expressions are quite interesting to watch, as if he's saying "How come they don't have that when I bought my P5!?" with his face. I gave him a friendly smile in return, saying "nice car" with my face as well.

Funny thing though, I think I've seen like 3-4 different yellow MP3s here, but only 1 blue one that locates close by where I live. Wonder if all the other blue ones went to other states.

In my town, modesto, I've seen a blue MP3 and there is always 2 asian guys driving in it. And then there is a yellow MP3 with Blingin rims and some guy with glasses. I havent met any of them cuz' they're always on the other side of the road goin the other way hehe
