Nick, I have been reading this post for the last few weeks but there are a few questions
about your product. Will it be repackaged under a new name| And if service is needed will
there be local dealers in key cities ie Ft Laud. Will AEM have any input on how your
company sells and markets its product under a new name. Bye the way thank you for coming out with this product.
No the units will not be packaged under a new name. We are going to market and distribute AEM ECUs and various products under their name. The EMS will be a custom unit just for US to serve the protege community.
Our tech line will be available to answer unit specific questions along with ANY AEM product.
AEM will be able to help minimally will some feature setups if need be but they are not required nor able to give service to a unit spec'd by us.
The unit incorporates the same software for the most part in visual terms, but the internal operation along with upgraded hardware are different.
Everyone will have full support for their purchase for the life of their car.

Yeah it sure doesn't even sound like an AEM product anymore, but I guess if they wrote the software.... they did didn't they? Whenever I talk to people about how I'm gonna try to go with an AEM standalone that is in production, everyone says, "Oh, the Supra ECU? Yeah that's alright", haha, I didn't realize apparently there is a census that AEM's ECU sucks, and only works really, for Supras. Luckily I get to say, "No, a speed shop is revamping the thing, pretty much just using AEM hardware, pure PnP, from them, not AEM. Unfortunately I can buy an AEM for about 1300, they sell em for about 1500 non standalone =p, although with all that custom work they had to do to overhaul crap to gold, I suppose I owe them more around 3k than half that"
Why does it sound like its not an AEM product.
Anyone who used AEM EMS in the past with out using V103 software may have had some issues. That was a while ago. The Software is fantastic and very user friendly.
We will show the evidence of this soon.

I haven't really heard anything really bad about the EMS. I mean really I gives you controll over the ecu. Most problems probably are with the user. Poor tuning or not to familiar with the software.
This is completely true.

LOL!

Go crash the test car! J/K

expect more of an overall better/smoother driving experience. The NA computer runs so horribly in our cars stock that just correcting the A/F maps will give up about 10hp (in my previous experience) Expect it to be slightly better than the MP3 ecu (as long as you run high octane!)

Also, the ecu can be enhanced for each modification you make. You can eliminate the MAF etc.....there is ability for full customization of every feature that the stock ecu runs. Remember these cars are tuned for ULEV emissions....I'm not in a state where that is an issue. I can have mine tuned much more aggressivly.

I'm very interested in it's potential for NA proteges. Any estimates?(humpleg)

BUMP
It is the first one we will be releasing.
Then FI.

So a quick update guys/gals.
Our beta boards are back as of today. Saturday delivery is nice.
Looks like the units will be tuned all this week and dyno results will be out. I will give everyone a heads up. Once we are done dyno tuning we will get the GB started in another thread. Actually I should take a pic of the units being they are Imaginary and all....

NO the problem is as a STANDALONE the DASH doesn't work properly.
BUT we are close to disecting the datastream. We will then be able to duplicate the data transfer so that it will work with out the Parallel ecu in line. At this time we are mainly focused on the Parallel version for OBDII compliance.
