hot damn, I'm getting all antsy in my pantsy. cant wait for the dyno results
Awesome, can't wait.perfworks said:Hello Vik,
We are tuning all this week in York. I would like to get to the Dyno tommorow. We will see how our day plays out today. I'll give a more detailed update tonight.
perfworks said:NO the problem is as a STANDALONE the DASH doesn't work properly.
BUT we are close to disecting the datastream. We will then be able to duplicate the data transfer so that it will work with out the Parallel ecu in line. At this time we are mainly focused on the Parallel version for OBDII compliance.
If you're actually looking to get a FULL STANDALONE, which you would only need if you're into racing at the track, then you would need to get a new tachometer, since the stock one will probably not work. Most standalones out there will not support a stock tach. Maybe perf is going to figure it out, but like he said, it's probably the last thing on the list, after the NA parallel, FI parallel, some more tuning and maybe then a full standalone.FBI14 said:When you say the dash doesnt work properly what does that include, all the insruments in the dash, am I thinking of the right thing?
from what i remember Nick saying, everything is fully fonctional except the stock tachometer. that is the only problems. So yes, your dash will work properly (with the exception of the tach, or course).FBI14 said:So the parallel unit will or will not cause problems with the Dash
I'm working as hard as I can to send you guys more money =Pperfworks said:Im trying Matty. Its hard with so many projects. We have alot of work to do to still pay the bills everyday. I hope you understand. Soon bud..
i was specifying it because in your first statment you had quoted someone talking about the parallel, but were saying that the tach didnt work, which is not correct. So far the tach doesnt work with the standalone, parallel works fine, IIRCMetal MP5 said:i didnt think i had to specify it ... but yea =)
yup. long day, tired, late, wanted to go to bed ... forgot to mention THE most important detail ... lolEmode said:i was specifying it because in your first statment you had quoted someone talking about the parallel, but were saying that the tach didnt work, which is not correct. We didn't have time to reserve the Dyno time.ViksMSP said:So, did the dyno day happen??
Vik,ViksMSP said:Perf, got a question that might have been asked before, but for some reason it's not registrating in my head.
I got a MIL eliminator and haven't had a CEL until yesterday, that's now 3 months since I installed it. I also noticed that with corksport exhaust they don't have a bung in their system for a o2 plug, so they used the second one that's in the S-pipe for the stock o2.
So my first question, why after all this time I pull a CEL? Did i blow a resistor?
I went into AutoZone, they scanned it and talled me it was O2 plug no activity.
They reset it and the CEL is not back yet.
Now, a question more towards the AEM, if I want the wideband option, do i need the stock one in place as well? Cause now I only have one hole in my system.
Sorry for the length, but I'm not done.
If my answer to the first question is -- that is takes time to for the ECU to realize a problem with a O2 plug, then it makes sense that my car sometimes goes fast and feels like lean, and sometimes it's sloooow and feels waaay rich.
What I'm saying is I NEED HELP WITH MY FUEL MANAGEMENT, as you can see. I want to fix these issues..
Is AEM going to help me in these areas??
If yes, my sig still stays true.
Vik.
