mp3 1/4 time

I'm just curious because i've never raced at a drag strip, only dirt tracks, but is all the ET 1/4 times converted to SeaLevel?

I just got the digimoto software and cable and found the flattest paved area i could and ran an 18.02 at 80 mph 1/4. I live in Montana where i'm way above sea level, so i found a site that converted times based apon elevation and at sea level i'm at 16.587, which is similar to some guys have posted here.

I just have sri and a header.

thanks, i know i can do much better. even that run traction sucked, and i got about a 2.45 60' time. My run was ~8.5psi. When i get my new exhaust cutout in, im gonna head back. I need to feather the clutch, and not mash the gas so early :) wheelspin/hop owned me.

if you hit 14.7 at 7 i woulds think low 14's at 10. good luck man, 13's shouldnt be too tough.
u can do MUCH better than 2.45 i would think, i pull 2.3's all day long but my best 1/4 is 17.0 @ 87 :(

i know.. like i said it was my first time EVER at the track, next time, im sure i will do much better. Launching at the track isnt like launching on the street. Im still happy with my time, the 97.73mph shows the car has good potential. Next time i will be running more boost too.

yeah man i'll trade u 60 foot times for 1/4 times lol

damn! a stock mp3 is running 16's? how about the stock msp u guys know?
i cant wait till i see one at the light........

I hit 15s without anything major done to my motor... Its not impossible. :D

I just took my car just to see how fast I could run it. Mind you that my car is bone stock. My best was a 16.75... eh... well thats the best out of 4 runs. My first was a 17.2 about... oh well... time to save up for turbo....

i just dont get it(dunno) arent mp3s suppose to be faster than mp5s?
the 1/4 mile postings are same as for the mp5

took mine to the track last night heres the results

Thunder Valley Raceway
Weight: (w/driver) 2810lbs. (1/2 tank gas)
Fuel: 1/2 Tank 91 Octane
Tires: Bridgestone Fuzion ZLI 215/45/17 Front, Mastercraft Avenger ZHP 215/45/17 Rear
Mods: AEM Short Ram, TWM Short Shifter anf Kartboy Bushings, Throttle Body Bypass, Bosch Plat +4 Plugs, Custom Muffler (auger design, local muffler shop made it.)
60 Foot: 2.485 (not bad AT ALL for this track, better prepped track and i'd be in the 2.3's)
1/8 Mile: 10.767
1/4 Mile: 16.895 @81.785

not exactly what i was hoping for but better than usual (usual is 17.0-17.2) and i got a new best r/t with .513 so im happy. See what i can do with better motor mounts, obx header, sparkco plug wires.

Only 10 more horse stock and they weight a little more I think- so no not much faster at all. Until you throw a turbo in it :)

ya i wasn't sure, just talking out of my ass. :) What are the stock 1/4 times for both? Car and Driver anyone?

I didn't know our cars have different motor mounts than the P5. I ripped my rear one hehe. Wating for thw AWR's to get here.

im wondering how much weight you lost and how much strain it took off the engine to remove the a/c, in oklahoma i'd never be able to lose my a/c but im curious.

also anyone know the elevation level of thunder valley raceway in noble, ok by chance? lol

edit: found it, [font=verdana, arial]1,054 ft above sea level

Im not really sure, A shop took everything out for me. I didnt want to deal with the freon and what not. If you remove the AC pump I suggest getting a shorter belt so you can still run your P/S.
